CVE-2026-31772 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: fix stack buffer overflow in hci_le_big_create_sync hci_le_big_create_sync() uses DEFINE_FLEX to allocate a struct hci_cp_le_big_create_sync on the stack with room for 0x11 (17) BIS entries. However, conn->num_bis can hold up to HCI_MAX_ISO_BIS (31) entries — validated against ISO_MAX_NUM_BIS (0x1f) in the caller hci_conn_big_create_sync(). When conn->num_bis is between 18 and 31, the memcpy that copies conn->bis into cp->bis writes up to 14 bytes past the stack buffer, corrupting adjacent stack memory. This is trivially reproducible: binding an ISO socket with bc_num_bis = ISO_MAX_NUM_BIS (31) and calling listen() will eventually trigger hci_le_big_create_sync() from the HCI command sync worker, causing a KASAN-detectable stack-out-of-bounds write: BUG: KASAN: stack-out-of-bounds in hci_le_big_create_sync+0x256/0x3b0 Write of size 31 at addr ffffc90000487b48 by task kworker/u9:0/71 Fix this by changing the DEFINE_FLEX count from the incorrect 0x11 to HCI_MAX_ISO_BIS, which matches the maximum number of BIS entries that conn->bis can actually carry.
CVE-2024-49941 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpiolib: Fix potential NULL pointer dereference in gpiod_get_label() In `gpiod_get_label()`, it is possible that `srcu_dereference_check()` may return a NULL pointer, leading to a scenario where `label->str` is accessed without verifying if `label` itself is NULL. This patch adds a proper NULL check for `label` before accessing `label->str`. The check for `label->str != NULL` is removed because `label->str` can never be NULL if `label` is not NULL. This fixes the issue where the label name was being printed as `(efault)` when dumping the sysfs GPIO file when `label == NULL`.
CVE-2026-43187 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: delete attr leaf freemap entries when empty Back in commit 2a2b5932db6758 ("xfs: fix attr leaf header freemap.size underflow"), Brian Foster observed that it's possible for a small freemap at the end of the end of the xattr entries array to experience a size underflow when subtracting the space consumed by an expansion of the entries array. There are only three freemap entries, which means that it is not a complete index of all free space in the leaf block. This code can leave behind a zero-length freemap entry with a nonzero base. Subsequent setxattr operations can increase the base up to the point that it overlaps with another freemap entry. This isn't in and of itself a problem because the code in _leaf_add that finds free space ignores any freemap entry with zero size. However, there's another bug in the freemap update code in _leaf_add, which is that it fails to update a freemap entry that begins midway through the xattr entry that was just appended to the array. That can result in the freemap containing two entries with the same base but different sizes (0 for the "pushed-up" entry, nonzero for the entry that's actually tracking free space). A subsequent _leaf_add can then allocate xattr namevalue entries on top of the entries array, leading to data loss. But fixing that is for later. For now, eliminate the possibility of confusion by zeroing out the base of any freemap entry that has zero size. Because the freemap is not intended to be a complete index of free space, a subsequent failure to find any free space for a new xattr will trigger block compaction, which regenerates the freemap. It looks like this bug has been in the codebase for quite a long time.
CVE-2026-31773 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: SMP: derive legacy responder STK authentication from MITM state The legacy responder path in smp_random() currently labels the stored STK as authenticated whenever pending_sec_level is BT_SECURITY_HIGH. That reflects what the local service requested, not what the pairing flow actually achieved. For Just Works/Confirm legacy pairing, SMP_FLAG_MITM_AUTH stays clear and the resulting STK should remain unauthenticated even if the local side requested HIGH security. Use the established MITM state when storing the responder STK so the key metadata matches the pairing result. This also keeps the legacy path aligned with the Secure Connections code, which already treats JUST_WORKS/JUST_CFM as unauthenticated.
CVE-2026-43255 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: libertas: fix WARNING in usb_tx_block The function usb_tx_block() submits cardp->tx_urb without ensuring that any previous transmission on this URB has completed. If a second call occurs while the URB is still active (e.g. during rapid firmware loading), usb_submit_urb() detects the active state and triggers a warning: 'URB submitted while active'. Fix this by enforcing serialization: call usb_kill_urb() before submitting the new request. This ensures the URB is idle and safe to reuse.
CVE-2024-42255 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tpm: Use auth only after NULL check in tpm_buf_check_hmac_response() Dereference auth after NULL check in tpm_buf_check_hmac_response(). Otherwise, unless tpm2_sessions_init() was called, a call can cause NULL dereference, when TCG_TPM2_HMAC is enabled. [jarkko: adjusted the commit message.]

CVE-2024-41149 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: block: avoid to reuse `hctx` not removed from cpuhp callback list If the 'hctx' isn't removed from cpuhp callback list, we can't reuse it, otherwise use-after-free may be triggered.
CVE-2024-41029 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmem: core: limit cell sysfs permissions to main attribute ones The cell sysfs attribute should not provide more access to the nvmem data than the main attribute itself. For example if nvme_config::root_only was set, the cell attribute would still provide read access to everybody. Mask out permissions not available on the main attribute.
CVE-2024-41023 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-05-11 5.5 Medium

The timer callback, dl_task_timer, is supposed to decrement the reference count upon expiration. However, if enqueue_task_dl() is called before the timer expires and cancels it, the reference count is not decremented, leading to the leak. This patch fixes the reference leak by ensuring the task_struct reference count is properly decremented when the timer is canceled.
CVE-2024-40964 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: hda: cs35l41: Possible null pointer dereference in cs35l41_hda_unbind() The cs35l41_hda_unbind() function clears the hda_component entry matching it's index and then dereferences the codec pointer held in the first element of the hda_component array, this is an issue when the device index was 0. Instead use the codec pointer stashed in the cs35l41_hda structure as it will still be valid.
CVE-2024-40944 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/kexec: Fix bug with call depth tracking The call to cc_platform_has() triggers a fault and system crash if call depth tracking is active because the GS segment has been reset by load_segments() and GS_BASE is now 0 but call depth tracking uses per-CPU variables to operate. Call cc_platform_has() earlier in the function when GS is still valid. [ bp: Massage. ]
CVE-2024-40936 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-05-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxl/region: Fix memregion leaks in devm_cxl_add_region() Move the mode verification to __create_region() before allocating the memregion to avoid the memregion leaks.
CVE-2024-40931 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-05-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mptcp: ensure snd_una is properly initialized on connect This is strictly related to commit fb7a0d334894 ("mptcp: ensure snd_nxt is properly initialized on connect"). It turns out that syzkaller can trigger the retransmit after fallback and before processing any other incoming packet - so that snd_una is still left uninitialized. Address the issue explicitly initializing snd_una together with snd_nxt and write_seq.
CVE-2026-43195 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: validate user queue size constraints Add validation to ensure user queue sizes meet hardware requirements: - Size must be a power of two for efficient ring buffer wrapping - Size must be at least AMDGPU_GPU_PAGE_SIZE to prevent undersized allocations This prevents invalid configurations that could lead to GPU faults or unexpected behavior.
CVE-2024-39485 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: v4l: async: Properly re-initialise notifier entry in unregister The notifier_entry of a notifier is not re-initialised after unregistering the notifier. This leads to dangling pointers being left there so use list_del_init() to return the notifier_entry an empty list.

CVE-2026-43199 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5e: Fix "scheduling while atomic" in IPsec MAC address query Fix a "scheduling while atomic" bug in mlx5e_ipsec_init_macs() by replacing mlx5_query_mac_address() with ether_addr_copy() to get the local MAC address directly from netdev->dev_addr. The issue occurs because mlx5_query_mac_address() queries the hardware which involves mlx5_cmd_exec() that can sleep, but it is called from the mlx5e_ipsec_handle_event workqueue which runs in atomic context. The MAC address is already available in netdev->dev_addr, so no need to query hardware. This avoids the sleeping call and resolves the bug. CVE-2024-35825 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-05-11 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: ncm: Fix handling of zero block length packets While connecting to a Linux host with CDC_NCM_NTB_DEF_SIZE_TX set to 65536, it has been observed that we receive short packets, which come at interval of 5-10 seconds sometimes and have block length zero but still contain 1-2 valid datagrams present. According to the NCM spec: "If wBlockLength = 0x0000, the block is terminated by a short packet. In this case, the USB transfer must still be shorter than dwNtbInMaxSize or dwNtbOutMaxSize. If exactly dwNtbInMaxSize or dwNtbOutMaxSize bytes are sent, and the size is a multiple of wMaxPacketSize for the given pipe, then no ZLP shall be sent. wBlockLength= 0x0000 must be used with extreme care, because of the possibility that the host and device may get out of sync, and because of test issues. wBlockLength = 0x0000 allows the sender to reduce latency by starting to send a very large NTB, and then shortening it when the sender discovers that there’s not sufficient data to justify sending a large NTB" However, there is a potential issue with the current implementation, as it checks for the occurrence of multiple NTBs in a single giveback by verifying if the leftover bytes to be processed is zero or not. If the block length reads zero, we would process the same NTB infintely because the leftover bytes is never zero and it leads to a crash. Fix this by bailing out if block length reads zero.
