CVE-2026-71465 1 Redhat 3 Ansible Automation Platform, Ansible Automation Platform Developer, Ansible Automation Platform Inside 2026-09-24 3.1 Low
RunAdHocCommand.build_args() appends limit as bare positional (args.append(limit)) instead of using args.extend(['-l', limit]) like RunJob. A limit beginning with - is parsed as an ansible CLI option. Currently limited to short-circuit flags (--version, --help) since injected element displaces required pattern positional. Would escalate if ansible-core ever defaults pattern.
CVE-2026-71464 1 Redhat 3 Ansible Automation Platform, Ansible Automation Platform Developer, Ansible Automation Platform Inside 2026-09-24 3.1 Low
LaunchConfigurationBaseSerializer.scm_branch has no validate_scm_branch() leading-dash check, unlike Project/JobTemplate/JobLaunch serializers. Schedule and WFJT Node accept --upload-pack=/bin/id as scm_branch. Currently blocked at runtime by jobs.py:1502 ValueError check (defense-in-depth), but the API validation gap means sole reliance on a task-layer guard. Refactoring that guard away would promote this to RCE.
CVE-2026-84724 1 Redhat 3 Ansible Automation Platform, Ansible Automation Platform Developer, Ansible Automation Platform Inside 2026-09-24 6.6 Medium
An argument-injection flaw was found in the Ansible Automation Platform automation-controller system-job subsystem. The system-job template launch endpoint stores a user-supplied "days" variable without running the integer validation defined elsewhere for that field, and the dispatcher flattens the management-command argument list into a single string with spaces before the job runner re-splits it, so spaces in the value become additional command-line arguments. Because system jobs are executed in-process on the control node without the container isolation applied to all other job types, an authenticated user with superuser privileges can inject arbitrary arguments — including Python's path option — into the control-plane awx-manage process, controlling its argument vector and the first entry of its module search path. Full remote code execution requires an additional import gadget that is not present in the current management commands, so the demonstrated impact is argument injection with control of the process search path rather than confirmed code execution.
CVE-2026-84502 1 Redhat 3 Ansible Automation Platform, Ansible Automation Platform Developer, Ansible Automation Platform Inside 2026-09-24 9.9 Critical
A flaw was found in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform's automation- controller. The Project scm_url field is not validated against values that begin with a dash and is stored and passed verbatim to the git SCM module. Because the module runs git ls-remote with the URL as a positional argument and without a "--" separator, a git project URL such as "--upload-pack=<command>:x" is interpreted by git as the --upload-pack option and executed via a shell. A user with permission to create or modify a project in a single organization can thereby execute arbitrary commands on the control-plane task pod, with output reflected through the project update stdout endpoint, leading to cross-tenant compromise and in-cluster lateral movement
CVE-2026-75131 1 Nm-l2tp 1 Networkmanager-l2tp 2026-09-24 7.8 High
NetworkManager-l2tp through 1.52.4, fixed in 1.52.6, contains a privilege escalation vulnerability that allows local users with permission to create VPN connections to execute arbitrary code as root by injecting pppd options through a crafted VPN username. Attackers can embed a double-quote character or whitespace in the username to break out of the pppd options file quoting context and include the pppd plugin directive, causing the privileged pppd process to load an attacker-controlled shared object.
CVE-2026-87900 2026-09-23 N/A
Argument injection in WP Toolkit for cPanel 6.11.2-10794 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files and execute arbitrary code across customer accounts.
CVE-2026-93337 1 Nm-l2tp 1 Networkmanager-l2tp 2026-09-23 7.8 High
NetworkManager-l2tp through 1.52.4, fixed in 1.52.6, contains an improper input validation vulnerability that allows local users with VPN connection creation permissions to inject arbitrary pppd directives by supplying mru or mtu property values containing trailing non-numeric content after a valid integer. Attackers can exploit the verbatim write of unvalidated strings into the pppd options file via write_config_option() to inject the plugin directive, causing the privileged pppd process to load an attacker-controlled shared object and achieve arbitrary code execution as root.
CVE-2026-84711 1 Redhat 1 Ansible Automation Platform 2026-09-23 9.9 Critical
A flaw was found in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform's automation-controller. The Project SCM branch and SCM refspec fields are accepted without rejecting values that begin with a dash and are passed to the git module during project synchronization, where they reach a `git checkout`/`git fetch` command line as bare arguments with no end-of-options separator. An authenticated user permitted to create or edit a project can set the SCM branch to a git option such as `--pathspec-from-file=<path>`, causing git to read an arbitrary file on the synchronization host and reflect its contents back through the project-update output. Because project synchronization runs on the control-plane host on default OpenShift Operator deployments, an attacker can read the control-plane Kubernetes ServiceAccount token, the Controller SECRET_KEY, and the database credentials, leading to full compromise of the Automation Platform and its Kubernetes namespace. System administrator privileges are not required and the impact crosses tenants.
CVE-2026-94588 1 Proxmox 1 Pmg-api 2026-09-22 4.4 Medium
In Proxmox pmg-api, an argument injection vulnerability exists in the package changelog retrieval functionality. This is caused by improper handling of user-supplied input passed to the underlying apt-get command when fetching package changelogs. It requires authentication but can be exploited in a CSRF-style attack.
CVE-2026-76866 1 Netcore 1 Nr255-v 2026-09-21 7.2 High
Netcore NR255-V firmware version 1.5.130703 builds root-run command lines from unquoted user-supplied DDNS input in DDNSset_cgi.c and related ddns_Proc.c components, enabling os command argument injection. Attackers can exploit the unsanitized parameters to inject additional command arguments executed with root privileges.
CVE-2026-86864 1 Pgadmin 1 Pgadmin 4 2026-09-21 8.8 High
pgAdmin 4's Backup tool appended the client-supplied 'database' field from the /backup/job/<sid>/object request to the pg_dump argument vector as a bare trailing positional argument, without validation. Because pg_dump parses its options with getopt_long, which permutes arguments, a value beginning with a dash was interpreted as an option rather than as a database name. A value such as --file=/absolute/path therefore overrode the storage-confined --file that pgAdmin had constructed earlier, causing pg_dump to write its output anywhere the pgAdmin process could write, outside the user's File Manager storage directory. This yields arbitrary file creation and overwrite as the operating-system account running pgAdmin, which can destroy pgAdmin's own configuration database and, depending on the target chosen, be escalated further. The same field additionally permitted connection-string injection. libpq expands a database name containing an equals sign into a full connection string, and keywords embedded there override the --host and --port that pgAdmin passes, so a value such as 'host=attacker.example port=5432 dbname=x' redirected pg_dump to a server of the attacker's choosing. Because pgAdmin exports the decrypted stored database password in the PGPASSWORD environment variable before executing the utility, the redirected connection carries that credential to the attacker-nominated endpoint. Both behaviours are reachable by any authenticated user holding the tools_backup permission, which is granted to the default User role. The fix stops passing the database name through the argument vector altogether and supplies it in the PGDATABASE environment variable, which libpq treats as a literal database name and never expands as a connection string. This matches the approach already used by the Import/Export tool. Regression tests assert that the database name is absent from the constructed argument vector and that PGDATABASE carries the exact requested value. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: from the introduction of the trailing positional database argument in the Backup tool before 9.18.
CVE-2026-86862 1 Pgadmin 1 Pgadmin 4 2026-09-21 6.5 Medium
pgAdmin 4's Restore and Maintenance tools passed the client-supplied 'database' field directly as the value of the --dbname option given to pg_restore and psql. libpq expands a database name containing an equals sign into a full connection string, and connection keywords embedded in that value take precedence over the --host and --port arguments that pgAdmin supplies. A value such as 'host=attacker.example port=5432 dbname=x' therefore redirected the utility to a server chosen by the requesting user rather than the server the operation was invoked against. Because pgAdmin exports the decrypted stored database password in the PGPASSWORD environment variable before executing the utility, the redirected connection presents that credential to the attacker-nominated endpoint, which may capture it. The redirection additionally permits outbound connections from the pgAdmin host to arbitrary network addresses, including hosts not otherwise reachable by the requesting user. The behaviour is reachable by any authenticated user holding the tools_restore or tools_maintenance permission, both of which the default User role grants. The Maintenance tool was not affected in the earliest releases, where the value was wrapped by a quoting helper that incidentally prevented expansion; it became affected when that wrapper was removed. The fix supplies the target database in the PGDATABASE environment variable, which libpq treats as a literal database name and never expands as a connection string. Where pg_restore requires a --dbname argument to be present, an empty value is passed, which contains no equals sign and is therefore not expanded, while the real name is taken from the environment. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: from the introduction of the --dbname argument in the Restore and Maintenance tools before 9.18.
CVE-2026-43698 1 Apple 1 Macos 2026-09-21 7.8 High
An injection issue was addressed with improved validation. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, macOS Tahoe 26.7. An app may be able to gain root privileges.
CVE-2026-28197 1 Cohesity 1 Netbackup Flex Os 2026-09-19 8.8 High
An authenticated, low-privileged user with access to the NetBackup Flex OS management shell could supply a specially crafted input to a privileged administrative command, causing it to execute arbitrary code with root-level permissions. Successful exploitation grants the attacker unrestricted control over the Flex appliance host and all hosted containers, fully compromising confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
CVE-2026-54501 1 Webrecorder 1 Browsertrix 2026-09-18 N/A
Browsertrix is a high-fidelity, browser-based crawling service for web archiving that can be self-hosted or used through Webrecorder's hosted instance. From 1.15.0 until 1.22.8, Browsertrix improperly sanitizes Git URLs specified as Custom Behaviors, allowing command injection through /api/orgs/*/crawlconfigs/validate/custom-behavior. A user with crawler or administrator permission on the specific instance can supply a crafted Git URL that executes arbitrary operating-system commands in the backend pod. Open registration or hosted free-trial access can make the required role broadly obtainable. Successful exploitation can expose, modify, or delete application database records, archived items, browser profiles, storage data, proxy credentials, and other configured service data. This issue is fixed in version 1.22.8.
CVE-2026-87794 1 Bestzip Project 1 Bestzip 2026-09-18 8.4 High
bestzip versions 2.2.6 and 3.0.2 contain an argument injection vulnerability in the nativeZip function that allows attackers to inject arbitrary arguments to the Info-ZIP backend. Attackers can supply a malicious destination path combined with crafted source entries to execute arbitrary commands with Node.js process privileges. Fixed in 2.2.7 and 3.0.3.
CVE-2026-89036 1 Appwrite 1 Appwrite 2026-09-18 8.8 High
Appwrite before 2.0.0 contains an argument injection vulnerability that allows authenticated users with functions.write or sites.write permissions to execute arbitrary commands by injecting TAB characters into the providerRootDirectory parameter used to construct GNU tar commands. The application uses escapeshellcmd instead of escapeshellarg and fails to quote the parameter, allowing TAB characters to survive sanitization and be interpreted as argument separators, enabling injection of arbitrary GNU tar arguments such as --checkpoint-action=exec to achieve remote code execution as the builds worker process user.
CVE-2026-23924 1 Zabbix 1 Zabbix 2026-09-18 4.9 Medium
Zabbix Agent 2 Docker plugin does not properly sanitize the 'docker.container_info' parameters when forwarding them to the Docker daemon. An attacker capable of invoking Agent 2 can read arbitrary files from running Docker containers by injecting them via the Docker archive API.
CVE-2026-55061 1 Uniget-org 1 Cli 2026-09-18 N/A
uniget is a universal installer and updater for (container) tools. Prior to 0.27.6, the hooks edit command in cmd/uniget/hooks.go parses UNIGET_EDITOR or EDITOR with strings.Split(editor, " ") and passes every space-delimited suffix as an argument to the selected editor executable. An attacker who can influence the editor environment and cause hook editing can supply unexpected editor arguments, potentially causing unintended actions with the privileges of the uniget process account. Go os/exec does not evaluate shell operators in these arguments, so the advisory's wrapper demonstration establishes argument delivery but does not establish shell command interpretation. This issue is fixed in version 0.27.6.
CVE-2026-76862 1 Netcore 1 Nr255-v 2026-09-17 8.8 High
Netcore NR255-V version 1.5.130703 contains an os command argument injection vulnerability in the Nettools tcpdump launch paths, including ntools_start_set_cgi, ntools_tcpdump_start_set_cgi, exe_default, and ntools_proc components. Attackers can inject crafted arguments into these tcpdump launch routines to manipulate executed system commands on the device.
