CVSS v3.1 |
Notepad++ is a free and open-source source code editor. Prior to 8.9.8, Notepad++ incompletely enforces shortcuts.xml HMAC validation because WM_MACRODLGRUNMACRO, the Run a Macro Multiple Times entry point, calls macroPlayback() without the validation used by command(). A tampered shortcuts.xml macro that is blocked through the Macro menu or a shortcut key can therefore execute through the multi-run dialog and invoke internal Notepad++ commands, including commands that launch external programs, in the current user context. This issue is fixed in version 8.9.8.
InvoicePlane is a self-hosted open source application for managing invoices, clients, and payments. Prior to 1.7.2-rc-1, InvoicePlane builds its permitted template list by scanning a PHP template directory that can be written through an administrator-controlled file-write capability. A malicious PHP file placed in the directory is automatically trusted by Mdl_templates and can be selected as public_invoice_template. When a public invoice is rendered, the guest View controller includes the trusted file and executes it with web-server privileges. This issue is fixed in version 1.7.2-rc-1.
mport is the MidnightBSD Package Manager. Prior to 2.7.8, the audit command in mport/mport.c computed option-adjusted local_argv and local_argc values but passed the original argument entry to audit_package(). When an operator or automation used an option such as -r before a package name, stale optind state and the unadjusted argument could cause mport to audit the option token instead of the requested package, producing a false-negative or useless result that could leave a vulnerable package unidentified. The corrected parsing resets optind and optreset before using the adjusted local arguments. This issue is fixed in version 2.7.8.
In openFile of AppFuseBridge.java, there is a possible information disclosure due to a missing permission check. This could lead to local information disclosure with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
claude-skill-antivirus fails to analyze executable files when scanning local skill directories, reading only SKILL.md while ignoring Python source, bytecode, and other artifacts in the scripts directory. Attackers can distribute skills with malicious code in non-manifest files that receive a SAFE verdict with 100/100 trust score despite containing unanalyzed executable payloads.
The interface of Foxit PDF Editor/Reader lacks the permission verification for secure reading mode, which allows specially crafted PDFs to trigger external SMB authentication without any security prompts and thereby leak the hash of the user's credentials.
| A vulnerability in Apache Sling Security Bundle: ContentDispositionFilter mediates only one address/API shape of a resource
This issue affects Apache Sling Security Bundle: before 1.3.12.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.3.12, which fixes the issue. |
In WriteImageToDisk of runtime_image.cc, there is a possible file tampering due to a logic error in the code. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
In LimitRealloc of malloc_limit.cpp, there is a possible use after free due to a logic error in the code. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
In serviceClassExists of InCallController.java, there is a possible arbitrary code execution due to a logic error in the code. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
The Okta Access Gateway does not apply its Lua directive restriction to the application-level custom configuration field. The field is interpolated directly into the nginx server block without inspection, resulting in execution of injected directives.
The Paid Membership Subscriptions WordPress plugin before 3.1.0 does not verify the reCAPTCHA on its registration handler when a form field is absent from the request, allowing unauthenticated users to create accounts without solving the reCAPTCHA the site has enabled.
MaxKB is an open-source AI assistant for enterprise. Prior to version 2.10.6-lts, the ToolExecutor LD_PRELOAD sandbox hooks execve, execvpe, and execveat to prevent subprocess creation but does not hook fexecve. An authenticated attacker able to execute tool code can call fexecve to start a process outside the sandbox's intended subprocess policy. This issue is fixed in version 2.10.6-lts.
MaxKB is an open-source AI assistant for enterprise. Prior to version 2.10.6-lts, function-library code running under the LD_PRELOAD sandbox can invoke ctypes.CDLL from an importlib.abc.MetaPathFinder callback so the dlopen call-stack heuristic sees a Python import frame, then use unhooked dlsym with RTLD_NEXT to resolve glibc's real syscall and bypass the sandbox syscall blacklist. An authenticated workspace member can consequently read or write files, execute processes, or access networks as the sandbox user. This issue is fixed in version 2.10.6-lts.
Mitigation bypass in the Widget: Win32 component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156, Firefox ESR 153.3, Thunderbird 156, and Thunderbird 153.3.
Mitigation bypass in the Networking component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156, Firefox ESR 153.3, Thunderbird 156, and Thunderbird 153.3.
Mitigation bypass in the Popup Blocker component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156, Firefox ESR 153.3, Thunderbird 156, and Thunderbird 153.3.
vm2 NodeVM versions before 3.12.1 contain a sandbox escape vulnerability where the DANGEROUS_BUILTINS denylist omits child_process despite blocking other host-spawning modules. Attackers can require child_process and execute arbitrary commands on the host system when NodeVM is configured with builtin:['*'] or explicit child_process allowance.
vm2 before 3.11.8 does not fully enforce the allowAsync: false option in VM and NodeVM. While localPromise.prototype.then is replaced with a handler that throws 'Async not available', the sandbox's Promise static methods (Promise.resolve, Promise.all, Promise.race, Promise.any, and Promise.allSettled) still assimilate attacker-supplied thenables: native promise resolution performs PromiseResolveThenableJob and invokes the sandboxed code's then method in a microtask without passing through the patched then, so the async restriction is never applied. As a result, sandboxed script can schedule work that runs after VM.run() or NodeVM.run() has returned and outside the configured timeout, continuing to execute after the host believes execution is complete.
Mitigation bypass in the DOM: Networking component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156, Firefox ESR 153.3, Thunderbird 156, and Thunderbird 153.3.
