| WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. In versions up to and including 26.0, the `objects/pluginRunDatabaseScript.json.php` endpoint accepts a `name` parameter via POST and passes it to `Plugin::getDatabaseFileName()` without any path traversal sanitization. This allows an authenticated admin (or an attacker via CSRF) to traverse outside the plugin directory and execute the contents of any `install/install.sql` file on the filesystem as raw SQL queries against the application database. Commit 81b591c509835505cb9f298aa1162ac64c4152cb contains a patch. |
| WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. In versions up to and including 26.0, the `downloadVideoFromDownloadURL()` function in `objects/aVideoEncoder.json.php` saves remote content to a web-accessible temporary directory using the original URL's filename and extension (including `.php`). By providing an invalid `resolution` parameter, an attacker triggers an early `die()` via `forbiddenPage()` before the temp file can be moved or cleaned up, leaving an executable PHP file persistently accessible under the web root at `videos/cache/tmpFile/`. | An incomplete fix for CVE-2024-47778 allows an out-of-bounds read in gst_wavparse_adtl_chunk() function. The patch added a size validation check lsize + 8 > size, but it does not account for the GST_ROUND_UP_2(lsize) used in the actual offset calculation. When lsize is an odd number, the parser advances more bytes than validated, causing OOB read. |
