CVSS v3.1 |
| Directory traversal vulnerability in source.jsp of Apache Tomcat before 3.1 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the argument to source.jsp. |
| Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in (1) LookupDispatchAction and possibly (2) DispatchAction and (3) ActionDispatcher in Apache Software Foundation (ASF) Struts before 1.2.9 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the parameter name, which is not filtered in the resulting error message. |
| Cross site scripting vulnerabilities in Apache 1.3.0 through 1.3.11 allow remote attackers to execute script as other web site visitors via (1) the printenv CGI (printenv.pl), which does not encode its output, (2) pages generated by the ap_send_error_response function such as a default 404, which does not add an explicit charset, or (3) various messages that are generated by certain Apache modules or core code. NOTE: the printenv issue might still exist for web browsers that can render text/plain content types as HTML, such as Internet Explorer, but CVE regards this as a design limitation of those browsers, not Apache. The printenv.pl/acuparam vector, discloser on 20070724, is one such variant. |
| mod_proxy in Apache 1.2.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via malformed FTP commands, which causes Apache to dump core. |
| Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Apache Tomcat 4.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary web script and steal cookies via a URL with encoded newlines followed by a request to a .jsp file whose name contains the script. |
| Directory traversal vulnerability in Apache 2.0 through 2.0.39 on Windows, OS2, and Netware allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files and execute commands via .. (dot dot) sequences containing \ (backslash) characters. |
| Apache 2.0 through 2.0.39 on Windows, OS2, and Netware allows remote attackers to determine the full pathname of the server via (1) a request for a .var file, which leaks the pathname in the resulting error message, or (2) via an error message that occurs when a script (child process) cannot be invoked. |
| Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in Apache Geronimo 1.0 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) time parameter to cal2.jsp and (2) any invalid parameter, which causes an XSS when the log file is viewed by the Web-Access-Log viewer. |
| Apache Tomcat 5 before 5.5.17 allows remote attackers to list directories via a semicolon (;) preceding a filename with a mapped extension, as demonstrated by URLs ending with /;index.jsp and /;help.do. |
| Jakarta Tomcat 3.1 under Apache reveals physical path information when a remote attacker requests a URL that does not exist, which generates an error message that includes the physical path. |
| The XML parser in Xerces-C++ 2.5.0 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) via XML attributes in a crafted XML document. |
| Apache 2.0 before 2.0.44 on Windows platforms allows remote attackers to obtain certain files via an HTTP request that ends in certain illegal characters such as ">", which causes a different filename to be processed and served. |
| Vulnerability in Apache httpd before 1.3.11, when configured for mass virtual hosting using mod_rewrite, or mod_vhost_alias in Apache 1.3.9, allows remote attackers to retrieve arbitrary files. |
| PHP 3.x (PHP3) on Apache 1.3.6 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a modified .. (dot dot) attack containing "%5c" (encoded backslash) sequences. |
| Apache Tomcat may be started without proper security settings if errors are encountered while reading the web.xml file, which could allow attackers to bypass intended restrictions. |
| Apache 1.4.x before 1.3.30, and 2.0.x before 2.0.49, when using multiple listening sockets on certain platforms, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (blocked new connections) via a "short-lived connection on a rarely-accessed listening socket." |
| Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in Apache Camel LevelDB component.
The Camel-LevelDB DefaultLevelDBSerializer class deserializes data read from the LevelDB aggregation repository using java.io.ObjectInputStream without applying any ObjectInputFilter or class-loading restrictions. An attacker who can write to the LevelDB database files used by a Camel application can inject a crafted serialized Java object that, when deserialized during normal aggregation repository operations, results in arbitrary code execution in the context of the application.
This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.10.0 before 4.10.8, from 4.14.0 before 4.14.5, from 4.15.0 before 4.18.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.18.0, which fixes the issue. For the 4.10.x LTS releases, users are recommended to upgrade to 4.10.9, while for 4.14.x LTS releases, users are recommended to upgrade to 4.14.5 |
| Apache Airflow versions 3.0.0 through 3.1.8 DagRun wait endpoint returns XCom result values even to users who only have DAG Run read permissions, such as the Viewer role. This behavior conflicts with the FAB RBAC model, which treats XCom as a separate protected resource, and with the security model documentation that defines the Viewer role as read-only.
Airflow uses the FAB Auth Manager to manage access control on a per-resource basis. The Viewer role is intended to be read-only by default, and the security model documentation defines Viewer users as those who can inspect DAGs without accessing sensitive execution results.
Users are recommended to upgrade to Apache Airflow 3.2.0 which resolves this issue. |
| Inconsistent Interpretation of HTTP Requests ('HTTP Request/Response Smuggling') vulnerability in Apache Tomcat via invalid chunk extension.
This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.18, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.52, from 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.115, from 8.5.0 through 8.5.100, from 7.0.0 through 7.0.109.
Other, unsupported versions may also be affected.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.20, 10.1.52 or 9.0.116, which fix the issue. |
| Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in Apache Storm.
Versions Affected:
before 2.8.6.
Description:
When processing topology credentials submitted via the Nimbus Thrift API, Storm deserializes the base64-encoded TGT blob using ObjectInputStream.readObject() without any class filtering or validation. An authenticated user with topology submission rights could supply a crafted serialized object in the "TGT" credential field, leading to remote code execution in both the Nimbus and Worker JVMs.
Mitigation:
2.x users should upgrade to 2.8.6.
Users who cannot upgrade immediately should monkey-patch an ObjectInputFilter allow-list to ClientAuthUtils.deserializeKerberosTicket() restricting deserialized classes to javax.security.auth.kerberos.KerberosTicket and its known dependencies. A guide on how to do this is available in the release notes of 2.8.6.
