CVE-2025-40238 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5: Fix IPsec cleanup over MPV device When we do mlx5e_detach_netdev() we eventually disable blocking events notifier, among those events are IPsec MPV events from IB to core. So before disabling those blocking events, make sure to also unregister the devcom device and mark all this device operations as complete, in order to prevent the other device from using invalid netdev during future devcom events which could cause the trace below. CVE-2023-54283 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Address KCSAN report on bpf_lru_list KCSAN reported a data-race when accessing node->ref. Although node->ref does not have to be accurate, take this chance to use a more common READ_ONCE() and WRITE_ONCE() pattern instead of data_race(). There is an existing bpf_lru_node_is_ref() and bpf_lru_node_set_ref(). Because 5 is EXT4_BOOT_LOADER_INO, the ext4_ext_check_inode check in the ext4_iget function can be bypassed, finally, the extents that are not checked trigger the BUG_ON in the __es_tree_search function. To solve this issue, check whether the inode is bad_inode in vfs_setup_quota_inode().
CVE-2025-39996 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: b2c2: Fix use-after-free causing by irq_check_work in flexcop_pci_remove The original code uses cancel_delayed_work() in flexcop_pci_remove(), which does not guarantee that the delayed work item irq_check_work has fully completed if it was already running. This leads to use-after-free scenarios where flexcop_pci_remove() may free the flexcop_device while irq_check_work is still active and attempts to dereference the device. A typical race condition is illustrated below: CPU 0 (remove) | CPU 1 (delayed work callback) flexcop_pci_remove() | flexcop_pci_irq_check_work() cancel_delayed_work() | flexcop_device_kfree(fc_pci->fc_dev) | | fc = fc_pci->fc_dev; // UAF This is confirmed by a KASAN report: ================================================================== BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in __run_timer_base.part.0+0x7d7/0x8c0 Write of size 8 at addr ffff8880093aa8c8 by task bash/135 ... CVE-2023-54259 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: soundwire: bus: Fix unbalanced pm_runtime_put() causing usage count underflow This reverts commit 443a98e649b4 ("soundwire: bus: use pm_runtime_resume_and_get()") Change calls to pm_runtime_resume_and_get() back to pm_runtime_get_sync(). This fixes a usage count underrun caused by doing a pm_runtime_put() even though pm_runtime_resume_and_get() returned an error. The three affected functions ignore -EACCES error from trying to get pm_runtime, and carry on, including a put at the end of the function. But pm_runtime_resume_and_get() does not increment the usage count if it returns an error. So in the -EACCES case you must not call pm_runtime_put(). The documentation for pm_runtime_get_sync() says: "Consider using pm_runtime_resume_and_get() ... as this is likely to result in cleaner code." In this case I don't think it results in cleaner code because the pm_runtime_put() at the end of the function would have to be conditional on the return value from pm_runtime_resume_and_get() at the top of the function. pm_runtime_get_sync() doesn't have this problem because it always increments the count, so always needs a put. The code can just flow through and do the pm_runtime_put() unconditionally.
CVE-2022-50858 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: alcor: fix return value check of mmc_add_host() mmc_add_host() may return error, if we ignore its return value, the memory that allocated in mmc_alloc_host() will be leaked and it will lead a kernel crash because of deleting not added device in the remove path. So fix this by checking the return value and calling mmc_free_host() in the error path.
CVE-2023-54185 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: remove BUG_ON()'s in add_new_free_space() At add_new_free_space() we have these BUG_ON()'s that are there to deal with any failure to add free space to the in memory free space cache. Such failures are mostly -ENOMEM that should be very rare. However there's no need to have these BUG_ON()'s, we can just return any error to the caller and all callers and their upper call chain are already dealing with errors. So just make add_new_free_space() return any errors, while removing the BUG_ON()'s, and returning the total amount of added free space to an optional u64 pointer argument.

Because it failed the bpf verifier, and the error log is "R3 pointer comparison prohibited". A simple reproducer as follows, SEC("cls-ingress") int ingress(struct __sk_buff *skb) { struct iphdr *iph = (void *)(long)skb->data + sizeof(struct ethhdr); if ((long)(iph + 1) > (long)skb->data_end) return TC_ACT_STOLEN; return TC_ACT_OK; } Per discussion with Yonghong and Alexei [1], comparison of two packet pointers is not a pointer leak. This patch fixes it. Our local kernel is 6.1.y and we expect this fix to be backported to 6.1.y, so stable is CCed. CVE-2025-68338 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: dsa: microchip: Don't free uninitialized ksz_irq If something goes wrong at setup, ksz_irq_free() can be called on uninitialized ksz_irq (for example when ksz_ptp_irq_setup() fails). It leads to freeing uninitialized IRQ numbers and/or domains. Use dsa_switch_for_each_user_port_continue_reverse() in the error path to iterate only over the fully initialized ports.
CVE-2023-54172 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/hyperv: Disable IBT when hypercall page lacks ENDBR instruction On hardware that supports Indirect Branch Tracking (IBT), Hyper-V VMs with ConfigVersion 9.3 or later support IBT in the guest. However, current versions of Hyper-V have a bug in that there's not an ENDBR64 instruction at the beginning of the hypercall page. Since hypercalls are made with an indirect call to the hypercall page, all hypercall attempts fail with an exception and Linux panics. A Hyper-V fix is in progress to add ENDBR64. But guard against the Linux panic by clearing X86_FEATURE_IBT if the hypercall page doesn't start with ENDBR. The VM will boot and run without IBT. If future Linux 32-bit kernels were to support IBT, additional hypercall page hackery would be needed to make IBT work for such kernels in a Hyper-V VM.

CVE-2022-50870 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/rtas: avoid device tree lookups in rtas_os_term() rtas_os_term() is called during panic. Its behavior depends on a couple of conditions in the /rtas node of the device tree, the traversal of which entails locking and local IRQ state changes. If the kernel panics while devtree_lock is held, rtas_os_term() as currently written could hang. Instead of discovering the relevant characteristics at panic time, cache them in file-static variables at boot. Note the lookup for "ibm,extended-os-term" is converted to of_property_read_bool() since it is a boolean property, not an RTAS function token. [mpe: Incorporate suggested change from Nick]

The function registers its global DNS resolver cache as current->cred.thread_keyring and passes the query to request_key_net() -> request_key_tag() -> request_key_and_link(). * Function request_key_and_link() creates a keyring_search_context object. Its match_data.cmp method gets set via a call to type->match_preparse() (resolves to dns_resolver_match_preparse()) to dns_resolver_cmp(). * Function request_key_and_link() continues and invokes search_process_keyrings_rcu() which returns that a given key was not found. The control is then passed to request_key_and_link() -> construct_alloc_key(). * Concurrently to that, a second task similarly makes a DNS query for "abcdef." and its result gets inserted into the DNS resolver cache. * Back on the first task, function construct_alloc_key() first runs __key_link_begin() to determine an assoc_array_edit operation to insert a new key. Index keys in the array are compared exactly as-is, using keyring_compare_object(). The operation ---truncated---
