CVSS v3.1 |
A vulnerability in the CLI of the Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) Manager, Cisco Firepower 4100 Series Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW), and Cisco Firepower 9300 Security Appliance could allow an authenticated, local attacker to perform a command injection attack. More Information: CSCvb61351 CSCvb61637. Known Affected Releases: 2.0(1.68) 3.1(1k)A. Known Fixed Releases: 92.2(1.101) 92.1(1.1645) 2.0(1.82) 1.1(4.136.
Gnulib before 2017-04-26 has a heap-based buffer overflow with the TZ environment variable. The error is in the save_abbr function in time_rz.c.
The __ip6_append_data function in net/ipv6/ip6_output.c in the Linux kernel through 4.11.3 is too late in checking whether an overwrite of an skb data structure may occur, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (system crash) via crafted system calls.
The Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.28, is vulnerable to an invalid read of size 1 and an invalid write of size 1 during processing of a corrupt binary containing reloc(s) with negative addresses. This vulnerability causes programs that conduct an analysis of binary programs using the libbfd library, such as objdump, to crash.
LibreOffice before 2017-03-17 has an out-of-bounds write caused by a heap-based buffer overflow related to the ReadJPEG function in vcl/source/filter/jpeg/jpegc.cxx.
In libsndfile before 1.0.28, an error in the "flac_buffer_copy()" function (flac.c) can be exploited to cause a segmentation violation (with write memory access) via a specially crafted FLAC file during a resample attempt, a similar issue to CVE-2017-7585.
The find_nearest_line function in objdump in GNU Binutils 2.28 is vulnerable to an invalid write (of size 1) while disassembling a corrupt binary that contains an empty function name, leading to a program crash.
Heap-based buffer overflow in the parse_string_node function in bplist.c in libimobiledevice libplist 1.12 allows local users to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds write) via a crafted plist file.
libautotrace.a in AutoTrace 0.31.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (invalid write and SEGV), related to the pnm_load_ascii function in input-pnm.c:303:12.
FreeType 2 before 2016-12-16 has an out-of-bounds write caused by a heap-based buffer overflow related to the cff_parser_run function in cff/cffparse.c.
Multiple integer overflows in libXpm before 3.5.12, when a program requests parsing XPM extensions on a 64-bit platform, allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds write) or execute arbitrary code via (1) the number of extensions or (2) their concatenated length in a crafted XPM file, which triggers a heap-based buffer overflow.
coders/wpg.c in ImageMagick allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds write) via a crafted file.
There is a heap based buffer overflow in tools/tiff2pdf.c of LibTIFF 4.0.8 via a PlanarConfig=Contig image, which causes a more than one hundred bytes out-of-bounds write (related to the ZIPDecode function in tif_zip.c). A crafted input may lead to a remote denial of service attack or an arbitrary code execution attack.
Untrusted input execution via igetwild in all iRODS versions before 4.1.11 and 4.2.1 allows other iRODS users (potentially anonymous) to execute remote shell commands via iRODS virtual pathnames. To exploit this vulnerability, a virtual iRODS pathname that includes a semicolon would be retrieved via igetwild. Because igetwild is a Bash script, the part of the pathname following the semicolon would be executed in the user's shell.
The DivFixppCore::avi_header_fix function in DivFix++Core.cpp in DivFix++ v0.34 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (invalid memory write and application crash) via a crafted avi file.
The get_abbrev_array_info function in libdwarf-20151114 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds write) via a crafted elf file.
NfSen before 1.3.8 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary OS commands via shell metacharacters in the customfmt parameter (aka the "Custom output format" field).
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Linksys WVBR0. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the web management portal. The issue lies in the lack of proper validation of user data before executing a system call. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to execute code with root privileges. Was ZDI-CAN-4892.
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Bitdefender Internet Security 2018. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within emulator 0x102 in cevakrnl.xmd. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a write past the end of an allocated object. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code under the context of SYSTEM. Was ZDI-CAN-5116.
| Ruby before 2.4.3 allows Net::FTP command injection. Net::FTP#get, getbinaryfile, gettextfile, put, putbinaryfile, and puttextfile use Kernel#open to open a local file. If the localfile argument starts with the "|" pipe character, the command following the pipe character is executed. The default value of localfile is File.basename(remotefile), so malicious FTP servers could cause arbitrary command execution. |
