Chamilo LMS is an open-source learning management system. In version 2.0-RC.2, the file public/main/inc/ajax/install.ajax.php is accessible without authentication on fully installed instances because, unlike other AJAX endpoints, it does not include the global.inc.php file that performs authentication and installation-completed checks. Its test_mailer action accepts an arbitrary Symfony Mailer DSN string from POST data and uses it to connect to an attacker-specified SMTP server, enabling Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) into internal networks via the SMTP protocol. An unauthenticated attacker can also abuse this to weaponize the Chamilo server as an open email relay for phishing and spam campaigns, with emails appearing to originate from the server's IP address. Additionally, error responses from failed SMTP connections may disclose information about internal network topology and running services. This issue has been fixed in version 2.0.0-RC.3.

Chamilo is an open-source learning management system (LMS). Version 2.0.0-RC.2 contains a SQL Injection vulnerability in the statistics AJAX endpoint, which is an incomplete fix for CVE-2026-30881. While CVE-2026-30881 was patched by applying Security::remove_XSS() to the date_start and date_end parameters in the get_user_registration_by_month action, the same parameters remain unsanitized in the users_active action within the same file (public/main/inc/ajax/statistics.ajax.php), where they are directly interpolated into a SQL query. An authenticated admin can exploit this to perform time-based blind SQL injection, enabling extraction of arbitrary data from the database. This issue has been fixed in version 2.0.0.

The ExactMetrics – Google Analytics Dashboard for WordPress (Website Stats Plugin) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized arbitrary plugin installation and activation in all versions up to, and including, 9.1.2. This is due to the reports page exposing the 'onboarding_key' transient to any user with the 'exactmetrics_view_dashboard' capability. This key is the sole authorization gate for the '/wp-json/exactmetrics/v1/onboarding/connect-url' REST endpoint, which returns a one-time hash (OTH) token. This OTH token is then the only credential checked by the 'exactmetrics_connect_process' AJAX endpoint — which has no capability check, no nonce verification, and accepts an arbitrary plugin ZIP URL via the file parameter for installation and activation. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Editor-level access and above granted the report viewing permission, to install and activate arbitrary plugins from attacker-controlled URLs, leading to Remote Code Execution.

A flaw was found in the `readelf` utility of the binutils package. A local attacker could exploit two Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerabilities by providing a specially crafted Executable and Linkable Format (ELF) file. One vulnerability, a resource exhaustion (CWE-400), can lead to an out-of-memory condition. The other, a null pointer dereference (CWE-476), can cause a segmentation fault. Both issues can result in the `readelf` utility becoming unresponsive or crashing, leading to a denial of service.

libsixel is a SIXEL encoder/decoder implementation derived from kmiya's sixel. Versions 1.8.7 and prior contain a Use-After-Free vulnerability via the load_gif() function in fromgif.c, where a single sixel_frame_t object is reused across all frames of an animated GIF and gif_init_frame() unconditionally frees and reallocates frame->pixels between frames without consulting the object's reference count. Because the public API explicitly provides sixel_frame_ref() to retain a frame and sixel_frame_get_pixels() to access the raw pixel buffer, a callback following this documented usage pattern will hold a dangling pointer after the second frame is decoded, resulting in a heap use-after-free confirmed by ASAN. Any application using sixel_helper_load_image_file() with a multi-frame callback to process user-supplied animated GIFs is affected, with a reliable crash as the minimum impact and potential for code execution. This issue has been fixed in version 1.8.7-r1.

libsixel is a SIXEL encoder/decoder implementation derived from kmiya's sixel. Versions 1.8.7 and prior contain an integer overflow leading to an out-of-bounds heap read in the --crop option handling of img2sixel, where positive coordinates up to INT_MAX are accepted without overflow-safe bounds checking. In sixel_encoder_do_clip(), the expression clip_w + clip_x overflows to a large negative value when clip_x is INT_MAX, causing the bounds guard to be skipped entirely, and the unclamped coordinate is passed through sixel_frame_clip() to clip(), which computes a source pointer far beyond the image buffer and passes it to memmove(). An attacker supplying a specially crafted crop argument with any valid image can trigger an out-of-bounds read in the heap, resulting in a reliable crash and potential information disclosure. This issue has been fixed in version 1.8.7-r1.

libsixel is a SIXEL encoder/decoder implementation derived from kmiya's sixel. Versions 1.8.7 and prior contain an integer overflow which leads to a heap buffer overflow via sixel_frame_convert_to_rgb888() in frame.c, where allocation size and pointer offset computations for palettised images (PAL1, PAL2, PAL4) are performed using int arithmetic before casting to size_t. For images whose pixel count exceeds INT_MAX / 4, the overflow produces an undersized heap allocation for the conversion buffer and a negative pointer offset for the normalization sub-buffer, after which sixel_helper_normalize_pixelformat() writes the full image data starting from the invalid pointer, causing massive heap corruption confirmed by ASAN. An attacker providing a specially crafted large palettised PNG can corrupt the heap of the victim process, resulting in a reliable crash and potential arbitrary code execution. This issue has been fixed in version 1.8.7-r1.

libsixel is a SIXEL encoder/decoder implementation derived from kmiya's sixel. In versions 1.8.7 and prior, when built with the --with-gdk-pixbuf2 option, a use-after-free vulnerability exists in load_with_gdkpixbuf() in loader.c. The cleanup path manually frees the sixel_frame_t object and its internal buffers without consulting the reference count, even though the object was created via the refcounted constructor sixel_frame_new() and exposed to the public callback. A callback that calls sixel_frame_ref(frame) to retain a logically valid reference will hold a dangling pointer after sixel_helper_load_image_file() returns, and any subsequent access to the frame or its fields triggers a use-after-free confirmed by AddressSanitizer. The root cause is a consistency failure between two cleanup strategies in the same codebase: sixel_frame_unref() is used in load_with_builtin() but raw free() is used in load_with_gdkpixbuf(). An attacker supplying a crafted image to any application built against libsixel with gdk-pixbuf2 support can trigger this reliably, potentially leading to information disclosure, memory corruption, or code execution. This issue has been fixed in version 1.8.7-r1.

Luanti (formerly Minetest) is an open source voxel game-creation platform. Starting in version 5.0.0 and prior to version 5.15.2, a malicious mod can trivially escape the sandboxed Lua environment to execute arbitrary code and gain full filesystem access on the user's device. This applies to the server-side mod, async and mapgen as well as the client-side (CSM) environments. This vulnerability is only exploitable when using LuaJIT. Version 5.15.2 contains a patch. On release versions, one can also patch this issue without recompiling by editing `builtin/init.lua` and adding the line `getfenv = nil` at the end. Note that this will break mods relying on this function (which is not inherently unsafe).

OpenAEV is an open source platform allowing organizations to plan, schedule and conduct cyber adversary simulation campaign and tests. Starting in version 1.0.0 and prior to version 2.0.13, OpenAEV's password reset implementation contains multiple security weaknesses that together allow reliable account takeover. The primary issue is that password reset tokens do not expire. Once a token is generated, it remains valid indefinitely, even if significant time has passed or if newer tokens are issued for the same account. This allows an attacker to accumulate valid password reset tokens over time and reuse them at any point in the future to reset a victim’s password. A secondary weakness is that password reset tokens are only 8 digits long. While an 8-digit numeric token provides 100,000,000 possible combinations (which is secure enough), the ability to generate large numbers of valid tokens drastically reduces the required number of attempts to guess a valid password reset token. For example, if an attacker generates 2,000 valid tokens, the brute-force effort is reduced to approximately 50,000 attempts, which is a trivially achievable number of requests for an automated attack. (100 requests per second can mathematically find a valid password reset token in 500 seconds.) By combining these flaws, an attacker can mass-generate valid password reset tokens and then brute-force them efficiently until a match is found, allowing the attacker to reset the victim’s password to a value of their choosing. The original password is not required, and the attack can be performed entirely without authentication. This vulnerability enables full account takeover that leads to platform compromise. An unauthenticated remote attacker can reset the password of any registered user account and gain complete access without authentication. Because user email addresses are exposed to other users by design, a single guessed or observed email address is sufficient to compromise even administrator accounts with non-guessable email addresses. This design flaw results in a reliable and scalable account takeover vulnerability that affects any registered user account in the system. Note: The vulnerability does not require OpenAEV to have the email service configured. The exploit does not depend on the target email address to be a real email address. It just needs to be registered to OpenAEV. Successful exploitation allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to access sensitive data (such as the Findings section of a simulation), modify payloads executed by deployed agents to compromise all hosts where agents are installed (therefore the Scope is changed). Users should upgrade to version 2.0.13 to receive a fix.
