It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. NOTE: This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer. NOTE: Vendor was contacted early and confirmed that the product is end-of-life. It should be retired and replaced. |
SPlayer version 3.7 and earlier is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow when processing HTTP responses containing an overly long Content-Type header. The vulnerability occurs due to improper bounds checking on the header value, allowing an attacker to overwrite the Structured Exception Handler (SEH) and execute arbitrary code. Exploitation requires the victim to open a media file that triggers an HTTP request to a malicious server, which responds with a crafted Content-Type header.
A vulnerability on Mitel 6800 Series and 6900 Series SIP Phones through 6.3 SP3 HF4, 6900w Series SIP Phone through 6.3.3, and 6970 Conference Unit through 5.1.1 SP8 allows an authenticated attacker to conduct a buffer overflow attack due to insufficient bounds checking and input sanitization. A successful exploit could allow an attacker to gain access to sensitive information, modify system configuration or execute arbitrary commands within the context of the system.
A vulnerability was found in Netgear R6900 1.0.1.26_1.0.20. It has been declared as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown functionality of the file upgrade_check.cgi of the component HTTP Header Handler. The manipulation of the argument Content-Length leads to buffer overflow. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer.
Buffer Overflow vulnerability in Bento4 mp42avc v.3bdc891602d19789b8e8626e4a3e613a937b4d35 allows a local attacker to execute arbitrary code via the AP4_MemoryByteStream::WritePartial.
A vulnerability has been identified in LOGO! 12/24RCE (6ED1052-1MD08-0BA2) (All versions), LOGO! 12/24RCEo (6ED1052-2MD08-0BA2) (All versions), LOGO! 230RCE (6ED1052-1FB08-0BA2) (All versions), LOGO! 230RCEo (6ED1052-2FB08-0BA2) (All versions), LOGO! 24CE (6ED1052-1CC08-0BA2) (All versions), LOGO! 24CEo (6ED1052-2CC08-0BA2) (All versions), LOGO! 24RCE (6ED1052-1HB08-0BA2) (All versions), LOGO! 24RCEo (6ED1052-2HB08-0BA2) (All versions), SIPLUS LOGO! 12/24RCE (6AG1052-1MD08-7BA2) (All versions), SIPLUS LOGO! 12/24RCEo (6AG1052-2MD08-7BA2) (All versions), SIPLUS LOGO! 230RCE (6AG1052-1FB08-7BA2) (All versions), SIPLUS LOGO! 230RCEo (6AG1052-2FB08-7BA2) (All versions), SIPLUS LOGO! 24CE (6AG1052-1CC08-7BA2) (All versions), SIPLUS LOGO! 24CEo (6AG1052-2CC08-7BA2) (All versions), SIPLUS LOGO! 24RCE (6AG1052-1HB08-7BA2) (All versions), SIPLUS LOGO! 24RCEo (6AG1052-2HB08-7BA2) (All versions). Affected devices do not properly validate the structure of TCP packets in several methods. This could allow an attacker to cause buffer overflows, get control over the instruction counter and run custom code.
An issue was discovered on certain Nuki Home Solutions devices. The code used to parse the JSON objects received from the WebSocket service provided by the device leads to a stack buffer overflow. An attacker would be able to exploit this to gain arbitrary code execution on a KeyTurner device. This affects Nuki Smart Lock 3.0 before 3.3.5 and 2.0 before 2.12.4, as well as Nuki Bridge v1 before 1.22.0 and v2 before 2.13.2.
Core FTP Lite 1.3 contains a buffer overflow vulnerability in the username input field that allows attackers to crash the application by supplying oversized input. Attackers can generate a 7000-byte payload of repeated 'A' characters to trigger an application crash without requiring additional interaction.
A buffer overflow vulnerability was reported in the HTTPS service of some Lenovo Printers that could result in denial of service.
An issue was discovered in Trusted Firmware-M through 2.1.0. User provided (and controlled) mailbox messages contain a pointer to a list of input arguments (in_vec) and output arguments (out_vec). These list pointers are never validated. Each argument list contains a buffer pointer and a buffer length field. After a PSA call, the length of the output arguments behind the unchecked pointer is updated in mailbox_direct_reply, regardless of the call result. This allows an attacker to write anywhere in the secure firmware, which can be used to take over the control flow, leading to remote code execution (RCE).
| CWE-120: Buffer Copy without Checking Size of Input ('Classic Buffer Overflow') vulnerability
exists that could cause a crash of the Accutech Manager when receiving a specially crafted
request over port 2536/TCP. |
Buffer Overflow vulnerability in Proftpd commit 4017eff8 allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code and can cause a Denial of Service (DoS) on the FTP service by sending a maliciously crafted message to the ProFTPD service port.
home 5G HR02, Wi-Fi STATION SH-52B, and Wi-Fi STATION SH-54C contain a buffer overflow vulnerability in the hidden debug function. A remote unauthenticated attacker may get the web console of the product down.
Quick Player 1.3 contains a buffer overflow vulnerability that allows attackers to execute arbitrary code by crafting a malicious .m3l file with carefully constructed payload. Attackers can trigger the vulnerability by loading a specially crafted file through the application's file loading mechanism, potentially enabling remote code execution.
NetworkSleuth 3.0.0.0 contains a denial of service vulnerability that allows attackers to crash the application by supplying an oversized registration key. Attackers can generate a 1000-character buffer payload and paste it into the registration key field to trigger an application crash.
Office Product Key Finder 1.5.4 contains a denial of service vulnerability that allows attackers to crash the application by manipulating the registration code input. Attackers can create a specially crafted text file and paste it into the 'Name and Key' field to trigger an application crash.
A malformed packet can cause a buffer overflow in the NWK/APS layer of the Ember ZNet stack and lead to an assert
NVIDIA nvJPEG2000 library contains a vulnerability where an attacker can cause a buffer overflow issue by means of a specially crafted JPEG2000 file. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to data tampering.
NVIDIA vGPU software contains a vulnerability in the Virtual GPU Manager, where a malicious guest could cause memory corruption. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to code execution, denial of service, information disclosure, or data tampering.
A buffer-overread issue was discovered in StringIO 3.0.1, as distributed in Ruby 3.0.x through 3.0.6 and 3.1.x through 3.1.4. The ungetbyte and ungetc methods on a StringIO can read past the end of a string, and a subsequent call to StringIO.gets may return the memory value. 3.0.3 is the main fixed version; however, for Ruby 3.0 users, a fixed version is stringio 3.0.1.1, and for Ruby 3.1 users, a fixed version is stringio 3.0.1.2.
