CVSS v3.1 |
| A flaw was found in GStreamer gst-plugins-good (avidemux). When parsing FUJIFILM metadata in an AVI strd chunk, gst_avi_demux_parse_strd() decrements a remaining-length counter by fixed offsets (98 and 10 bytes) without verifying sufficient data remains. For crafted strd payloads of exactly 106 or 107 bytes, the counter underflows to a very large unsigned value, causing subsequent null-terminated string scanning to read far beyond the allocated heap buffer. Date-format normalization may also write beyond the buffer end. Confirmed impacts include heap out-of-bounds read, out-of-bounds write, heap information disclosure (adjacent data appearing in parsed metadata), and application crash/denial of service. The avidemux element is auto-plugged by playbin, decodebin, and gst-discoverer, so opening or previewing a crafted AVI is sufficient to trigger the issue. Fixed upstream in gst-plugins-good 1.28.6 (GStreamer-SA-2026-0072). |
| A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the LXF parsing functionality of MediaInfoLib (version(s): 26.01). A specially crafted .lxf file can lead to arbitrary code execution. An attacker can provide a malicious file to trigger this vulnerability. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Graphic Fonts allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| An integer overflow vulnerability exists in MPack 1.1.1 in mpack_node_cstr_alloc() and mpack_node_utf8_cstr_alloc(). |
| A flaw was found in libstdc++. An integer overflow can occur when processing large inputs to the aligned operator new in the C++ library. This vulnerability could lead to an undersized memory allocation, potentially causing memory corruption or application instability. |
| rustls-webpki through 0.103.12 (and 0.104.0-alpha releases before 0.104.0-alpha.7) contains a reachable panic in bit_string_flags() in src/der.rs. The input guard fails to reject a named-bit BIT STRING whose content is exactly [0x00] (zero padding bits and no data bytes), so raw_bits.len() - 1 underflows on the empty slice and the subsequent index operation panics (subtract-with-overflow in debug, index-out-of-bounds in release). The condition is reachable through the public API BorrowedCertRevocationList::from_der() when a CRL contains an issuingDistributionPoint extension with such an onlySomeReasons value. Exploitation requires an application that explicitly opts in to CRL revocation checking by passing RevocationOptions to verify_for_usage() and that parses CRL bytes obtained from a source the attacker can influence; the default rustls configuration, which does not use RevocationOptions, is unaffected. A crafted CRL causes a denial of service via the panic. Fixed in 0.103.13 and 0.104.0-alpha.7. |
| FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.27.0, FreeRDP clients that negotiate RDPGFX AVC444 with an H.264 decoder backend calculate the intermediate YUV444 allocation size in libfreerdp/codec/h264.c with 32-bit multiplication in avc444_ensure_buffer. A malicious RDP server can supply surface dimensions for which piDstStride multiplied by padDstHeight wraps to a small nonzero value, causing winpr_aligned_recalloc to allocate an undersized buffer before YUV420CombineToYUV444 writes using the actual stride and rectangle dimensions. This can cause a client crash and may permit code execution through attacker-influenced heap corruption. This issue is fixed in version 3.27.0. |
| FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.27.0, the glyph_cache_get function in libfreerdp/cache/glyph.c checks whether index is greater than cache->number instead of greater than or equal to it. A malicious RDP server can use GLYPH_FRAGMENT_USE replay in update_process_glyph_fragments to make the default cache receive index 254 when cache->number is 254, reading one pointer beyond the entries array and dereferencing it as a glyph. This can crash the client and may disclose adjacent heap data. This issue is fixed in version 3.27.0. |
| Imager versions before 1.036 for Perl disclose uninitialised heap memory reading a paletted image with pixel indexes past its colour map in i_gpix_p and i_glin_p.
The palette is allocated uninitialised, and only the entries a reader adds count as populated. The TGA reader stores pixel indexes without checking them against the colour map. i_gpix_p() rejects only an index greater than the count, so an index equal to it reads the first unpopulated entry, and getpixel() returns it.
i_glin_p() skips any index at or beyond the count without writing that pixel to the caller's buffer. The palette-to-RGB conversion reads each row through an uninitialised buffer, so those pixels of the converted image hold prior heap contents.
Reading an attacker-supplied image through Imager->read() and then fetching its pixels or converting it to RGB discloses process heap memory. |
| Netdata is an open source observability tool. Prior to 2.10.4, an authenticated child agent can send an oversized CHART SLOT value that str2ull_encoded passes to pluginsd_rrdset_cache_put_to_slot in src/plugins.d/pluginsd_internals.h. The accepted slot drives reallocz to request an approximately 16 GiB chart-pointer array, and allocation failure invokes fatal and aborts the parent Netdata agent, repeatedly disabling centralized monitoring while stream access persists. This issue is fixed in version 2.10.4 and nightly build 2.10.0-782-nightly. |
| A vulnerability exists in the proxy packet processing logic of the affected component where it improperly processes malformed or truncated input. An unauthenticated remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by providing specially crafted input that triggers an integer overflow. Successful exploitation could result in a buffer overflow, potentially leading to remote code execution or denial-of-service. |

| Memory Corruption when validating large data buffers from external sources using addition to check buffer length. |
| Net::IDN::Punycode versions before 2.590 for Perl allow an out-of-bounds read via integer overflow of the delta accumulator in encode_punycode.
The XS backend keeps the punycode delta, and the digit index derived from it, in a signed int. The accumulation `delta += (m-n) * (h+1)` has no overflow check, so a large enough code point wraps the delta and the digit index leaves the range of the 36-entry digit table. The bound before the final table access tests only for an index above 36, so a negative index passes it, as does 36 itself. Perl strings hold code points beyond the Unicode range, and one such code point overflows the accumulation on its own. Valid input wraps it as well, for example 1927 ASCII letters followed by U+10FFFF. The conversion functions encode a label before they check its length, so a long label reaches the encoder through the documented API.
Only the XS backend is affected.
Encoding an attacker-supplied string copies a byte from outside the digit table into the encoded result or crashes the process. |
