| ** UNSUPPORTED WHEN ASSIGNED ** This vulnerability exists in D3D Security IP Camera D8801 due to usage of insecure Real-Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) version for live video streaming. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by crafting a RTSP packet leading to unauthorized access to live feed of the targeted device. NOTE: This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer. |
| SunGrow's back end users system iSolarCloud https://isolarcloud.com uses an MQTT service to transport data from the user's connected devices to the user's web browser.
The MQTT server however did not have sufficient restrictions in place to limit the topics that a user could subscribe to.
While the data that is transmitted through the MQTT server is encrypted and the credentials for the MQTT server are obtained though an API call, the credentials could be used to subscribe to any topic and the encryption key can be used to decrypt all messages received.
An attack with an account on iSolarCloud.com could extract MQTT credentials and the decryption key from the browser and then use an external program to subscribe to the topic '#' and thus recieve all messages from all connected devices. |
| The Skylab IGX IIoT Gateway allowed users to connect to it via a limited shell terminal (IGX). However, it was discovered that the process was running under root privileges. This allowed the attacker to read, write, and modify any file in the operating system by utilizing the limited shell file exec and download functions. By replacing the /etc/passwd file with a new root user entry, the attacker was able to breakout from the limited shell and login to a unrestricted shell with root access. With the root access, the attacker will be able take full control of the IIoT Gateway. |
