CVE-2026-64260 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-27 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse-uring: Avoid queue->stopped races and set/read that value under lock There are several readers of queue->stopped that check the value under lock, but fuse_uring_commit_fetch() did not and actually the value was not set under the lock in fuse_uring_abort_end_requests() either. Especially in fuse_uring_commit_fetch it is important to check under a lock, because due to races 'struct fuse_req' might be freed with fuse_request_end, but another thread/cpu might already do teardown work.
CVE-2026-43216 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-24 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: Drop the lock in skb_may_tx_timestamp() skb_may_tx_timestamp() may acquire sock::sk_callback_lock. The lock must not be taken in IRQ context, only softirq is okay. A few drivers receive the timestamp via a dedicated interrupt and complete the TX timestamp from that handler. This will lead to a deadlock if the lock is already write-locked on the same CPU. Taking the lock can be avoided. The socket (pointed by the skb) will remain valid until the skb is released. The ->sk_socket and ->file member will be set to NULL once the user closes the socket which may happen before the timestamp arrives. If we happen to observe the pointer while the socket is closing but before the pointer is set to NULL then we may use it because both pointer (and the file's cred member) are RCU freed. Drop the lock. Use READ_ONCE() to obtain the individual pointer. Add a matching WRITE_ONCE() where the pointer are cleared.
CVE-2026-64077 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-20 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ebtables: move to two-stage removal scheme Like previous patches for x_tables, follow same pattern in ebtables. We can't reuse xt helpers: ebt_table struct layout is incompatible. table->ops assignment is now done while still holding the ebt mutex to make sure we never expose partially-filled table struct.
CVE-2026-64068 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-20 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix missing locking around retry adding new subreqs Fix netfs_retry_read_subrequests() and netfs_retry_write_stream() to take the appropriate lock when adding extra subrequests into stream->subrequests.
CVE-2026-64043 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-19 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ovpn: fix race between deleting interface and adding new peer While deleting an existing ovpn interface, there is a very narrow window where adding a new peer via netlink may cause the netdevice to hang and prevent its unregistration. It may happen during ovpn_dellink(), when all existing peers are freed and the device is queued for deregistration, but a CMD_PEER_NEW message comes in adding a new peer that takes again a reference to the netdev. At this point there is no way to release the device because we are under the assumption that all peers were already released. Fix the race condition by releasing all peers in ndo_uninit(), when the netdevice has already been removed from the netdev list. Also ovpn_peer_add() has now an extra check that forces the function to bail out if the device reg_state is not REGISTERED. This way any incoming CMD_PEER_NEW racing with the interface deletion routine will simply stop before adding the peer. Note that the above check happens while holding the netdev_lock to prevent racing netdev state changes. ovpn_dellink() is now empty and can be removed.
CVE-2026-53358 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-18 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: use chan timer to close channels in cleanup_listen() l2cap_chan_close() removes the channel from conn->chan_l, which must be done under conn->lock. cleanup_listen() runs under the parent sk_lock, so acquiring conn->lock would invert the established conn->lock -> chan->lock -> sk_lock order. Instead of calling l2cap_chan_close() directly, schedule l2cap_chan_timeout with delay 0 to close the channel asynchronously. The timeout handler already acquires conn->lock and chan->lock in the correct order. The timer is only armed when chan->conn is still set: if it is already NULL, l2cap_conn_del() has already processed this channel (l2cap_chan_del + l2cap_sock_teardown_cb + l2cap_sock_close_cb), so there is nothing left to do. If l2cap_conn_del() races in after the timer is armed, __clear_chan_timer() inside l2cap_chan_del() cancels it; if the timer has already fired, the handler returns harmlessly because chan->conn was cleared.
CVE-2026-46252 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-04 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: regulator: core: fix locking in regulator_resolve_supply() error path If late enabling of a supply regulator fails in regulator_resolve_supply(), the code currently triggers a lockdep warning: WARNING: drivers/regulator/core.c:2649 at _regulator_put+0x80/0xa0, CPU#6: kworker/u32:4/596 ... Call trace: _regulator_put+0x80/0xa0 (P) regulator_resolve_supply+0x7cc/0xbe0 regulator_register_resolve_supply+0x28/0xb8 as the regulator_list_mutex must be held when calling _regulator_put(). To solve this, simply switch to using regulator_put(). While at it, we should also make sure that no concurrent access happens to our rdev while we clear out the supply pointer. Add appropriate locking to ensure that. While the code in question will be removed altogether in a follow-up commit, I believe it is still beneficial to have this corrected before removal for future reference.
CVE-2023-32253 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2026-06-29 5.9 Medium
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's ksmbd component. A deadlock is triggered by sending multiple concurrent session setup requests, possibly leading to a denial of service.
CVE-2026-53054 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-28 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/msm: Fix VM_BIND UNMAP locking Wrong argument meant that the objs involved in UNMAP ops were not always getting locked. Since _NO_SHARE objs share a common resv with the VM (which is always locked) this would only show up with non-_NO_SHARE BOs. Patchwork: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/713898/
CVE-2026-53115 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-26 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bus: fsl-mc: use generic driver_override infrastructure When a driver is probed through __driver_attach(), the bus' match() callback is called without the device lock held, thus accessing the driver_override field without a lock, which can cause a UAF. Fix this by using the driver-core driver_override infrastructure taking care of proper locking internally. Note that calling match() from __driver_attach() without the device lock held is intentional. [1]
CVE-2026-53118 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-26 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vdpa: use generic driver_override infrastructure When a driver is probed through __driver_attach(), the bus' match() callback is called without the device lock held, thus accessing the driver_override field without a lock, which can cause a UAF. Fix this by using the driver-core driver_override infrastructure taking care of proper locking internally. Note that calling match() from __driver_attach() without the device lock held is intentional. [1]
CVE-2026-53119 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-26 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/wmi: use generic driver_override infrastructure When a driver is probed through __driver_attach(), the bus' match() callback is called without the device lock held, thus accessing the driver_override field without a lock, which can cause a UAF. Fix this by using the driver-core driver_override infrastructure taking care of proper locking internally. Note that calling match() from __driver_attach() without the device lock held is intentional. [1]
CVE-2026-46056 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-19 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_event: fix potential UAF in SSP passkey handlers hci_conn lookup and field access must be covered by hdev lock in hci_user_passkey_notify_evt() and hci_keypress_notify_evt(), otherwise the connection can be freed concurrently. Extend the hci_dev_lock critical section to cover all conn usage in both handlers. Keep the existing keypress notification behavior unchanged by routing the early exits through a common unlock path.

CVE-2026-46035 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-16 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/page_alloc: return NULL early from alloc_frozen_pages_nolock() in NMI on UP On UP kernels (!CONFIG_SMP), spin_trylock() is a no-op that unconditionally succeeds even when the lock is already held. As a result, alloc_frozen_pages_nolock() called from NMI context can re-enter rmqueue() and acquire the zone lock that the interrupted context is already holding, corrupting the freelists. With CONFIG_DEBUG_SPINLOCK on UP, the following BUG is triggered with the slub_kunit test module: BUG: spinlock trylock failure on UP on CPU#0, kunit_try_catch/243 [...] Call Trace: <NMI> dump_stack_lvl+0x3f/0x60 do_raw_spin_trylock+0x41/0x50 _raw_spin_trylock+0x24/0x50 rmqueue.isra.0+0x2a9/0xa70 get_page_from_freelist+0xeb/0x450 alloc_frozen_pages_nolock_noprof+0x111/0x1e0 allocate_slab+0x42a/0x500 ___slab_alloc+0xa7/0x4c0 kmalloc_nolock_noprof+0x164/0x310 [...] </NMI> Fix this by returning NULL early when invoked from NMI on a UP kernel.
CVE-2026-46183 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-11 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/damon/sysfs-schemes: protect path kfree() with damon_sysfs_lock damon_sysfs_quot_goal->path can be read and written by users, via DAMON sysfs 'path' file. It can also be indirectly read, for the parameters {on,off}line committing to DAMON. The reads for parameters committing are protected by damon_sysfs_lock to avoid the sysfs files being destroyed while any of the parameters are being read. But the user-driven direct reads and writes are not protected by any lock, while the write is deallocating the path-pointing buffer. As a result, the readers could read the already freed buffer (user-after-free). Note that the user-reads don't race when the same open file is used by the writer, due to kernfs's open file locking. Nonetheless, doing the reads and writes with separate open files would be common. Fix it by protecting both the user-direct reads and writes with damon_sysfs_lock.
CVE-2026-46202 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-10 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: appletb-kbd: run inactivity autodim from workqueues The autodim code in hid-appletb-kbd takes backlight_device->ops_lock via backlight_device_set_brightness() -> mutex_lock() from two different atomic contexts: * appletb_inactivity_timer() is a struct timer_list callback, so it runs in softirq context. Every expiry triggers BUG: sleeping function called from invalid context at kernel/locking/mutex.c:591 Call Trace: <IRQ> __might_resched __mutex_lock backlight_device_set_brightness appletb_inactivity_timer call_timer_fn run_timer_softirq * reset_inactivity_timer() is called from appletb_kbd_hid_event() and appletb_kbd_inp_event(). On real USB hardware these run in softirq/IRQ context (URB completion and input-event dispatch). When the Touch Bar has already been dimmed or turned off, the reset path calls backlight_device_set_brightness() directly to restore brightness, producing the same warning. Both call sites hit the same mutex_lock()-from-atomic bug. Fix them together by moving the blocking work onto the system workqueue: * Convert the inactivity timer from struct timer_list to struct delayed_work; the callback (appletb_inactivity_work) now runs in process context where mutex_lock() is legal. * Add a dedicated struct work_struct restore_brightness_work and have reset_inactivity_timer() schedule it instead of calling backlight_device_set_brightness() directly. Cancel both works synchronously during driver tear-down alongside the existing backlight reference drop. The semantics are unchanged (same delays, same state transitions on dim, turn-off and user activity); only the execution context of the sleeping call changes. The timer field and callback are renamed to match their new type; reset_inactivity_timer() keeps its name because it is invoked from input event paths that read naturally as "reset the inactivity timer".

CVE-2026-46112 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-01 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/hns: Fix unlocked call to hns_roce_qp_remove() Sashiko points out that hns_roce_qp_remove() requires the caller to hold locks. The error flow in hns_roce_create_qp_common() doesn't hold those locks for the error unwind so it risks corrupting memory. Grab the same locks the other two callers use.
