CVSS v3.1 |
A bug in the error handling of the send file code for the NIO HTTP connector in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M13, 8.5.0 to 8.5.8, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.39, 7.0.0 to 7.0.73 and 6.0.16 to 6.0.48 resulted in the current Processor object being added to the Processor cache multiple times. This in turn meant that the same Processor could be used for concurrent requests. Sharing a Processor can result in information leakage between requests including, not not limited to, session ID and the response body. The bug was first noticed in 8.5.x onwards where it appears the refactoring of the Connector code for 8.5.x onwards made it more likely that the bug was observed. Initially it was thought that the 8.5.x refactoring introduced the bug but further investigation has shown that the bug is present in all currently supported Tomcat versions.
Vulnerability in the Java SE, Java SE Embedded component of Oracle Java SE (subcomponent: Libraries). Supported versions that are affected are Java SE: 7u121 and 8u112; Java SE Embedded: 8u111. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise Java SE, Java SE Embedded. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Java SE, Java SE Embedded accessible data. Note: This vulnerability applies to Java deployments, typically in clients running sandboxed Java Web Start applications or sandboxed Java applets, that load and run untrusted code (e.g., code that comes from the internet) and rely on the Java sandbox for security. This vulnerability does not apply to Java deployments, typically in servers, that load and run only trusted code (e.g., code installed by an administrator). CVSS v3.0 Base Score 6.5 (Confidentiality impacts).
A session fixation vulnerability in the B. Braun Melsungen AG SpaceCom administrative interface Version L81/U61 and earlier, and the Data module compactplus Versions A10 and A11 allows remote attackers to hijack web sessions and escalate privileges.
An OAuth session fixation vulnerability existed in the VPN login flow, where an attacker could craft a custom login URL, convince a VPN user to login via that URL, and obtain authenticated access as that user. This issue is limited to cases where attacker and victim are sharing the same source IP and could allow the ability to view session states and disconnect VPN sessions. This vulnerability affects Mozilla VPN iOS 1.0.7 < (929), Mozilla VPN Windows < 1.2.2, and Mozilla VPN Android 1.1.0 < (1360).
A privilege escalation vulnerability exists in the session id functionality of WWBN AVideo 11.6 and dev master commit 3f7c0364. A specially-crafted HTTP request can lead to increased privileges. An attacker can get an authenticated user to send a crafted HTTP request to trigger this vulnerability.
An issue was discovered in Simmeth Lieferantenmanager before 5.6. Due to errors in session management, an attacker can log back into a victim's account after the victim logged out - /LMS/LM/#main can be used for this. This is due to the credentials not being cleaned from the local storage after logout.
A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Tribal Systems Zenario CMS 9.3.57595. This issue affects some unknown processing of the component Remember Me Handler. The manipulation leads to session fixiation. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The identifier VDB-214589 was assigned to this vulnerability.
Lack of appropriate exception handling in some receivers of the Telecom application on Samsung Note devices with L(5.0/5.1), M(6.0), and N(7.0) software allows attackers to crash the system easily resulting in a possible DoS attack, or possibly gain privileges. The Samsung ID is SVE-2016-7121.
org/apache/catalina/connector/CoyoteAdapter.java in Apache Tomcat 6.0.33 through 6.0.37 does not consider the disableURLRewriting setting when handling a session ID in a URL, which allows remote attackers to conduct session fixation attacks via a crafted URL.
arch/x86/kvm/vmx.c in the Linux kernel through 4.9 mismanages the #BP and #OF exceptions, which allows guest OS users to cause a denial of service (guest OS crash) by declining to handle an exception thrown by an L2 guest.
On Samsung Galaxy S4 through S7 devices, absence of permissions on the BroadcastReceiver responsible for handling the com.[Samsung].android.intent.action.SET_WIFI intent leads to unsolicited configuration messages being handled by wifi-service.jar within the Android Framework, a subset of SVE-2016-6542.
Session fixation vulnerability in Jenkins before 1.551 and LTS before 1.532.2 allows remote attackers to hijack web sessions via vectors involving the "override" of Jenkins cookies.
On Samsung Galaxy S4 through S7 devices, the "omacp" app ignores security information embedded in the OMACP messages resulting in remote unsolicited WAP Push SMS messages being accepted, parsed, and handled by the device, leading to unauthorized configuration changes, a subset of SVE-2016-6542.
api/metadata/handler.py in OpenStack Compute (Nova) before 2013.2.4, 2014.x before 2014.1.2, and Juno before Juno-2, when proxying metadata requests through Neutron, makes it easier for remote attackers to guess instance ID signatures via a brute-force attack that relies on timing differences in responses to instance metadata requests.
Unspecified vulnerability in Oracle Java SE 6u95, 7u80, and 8u45, JRockit R28.3.6, and Java SE Embedded 7u75 and 8u33 allows remote attackers to affect confidentiality via vectors related to JCE.
Session fixation vulnerability in the web admin interface in oVirt 3.4.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to hijack web sessions via unspecified vectors.
A vulnerability in the Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) scanner of Cisco AsyncOS Software for Cisco Email Security Appliances (ESA) and Web Security Appliances (WSA) could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to bypass configured user filters on the device. Affected Products: all releases prior to the first fixed release of Cisco AsyncOS Software for Cisco ESA and Cisco WSA, both virtual and hardware appliances, if the software is configured with message or content filters to scan incoming email attachments. More Information: CSCuw03606, CSCux59734. Known Affected Releases: 8.0.0-000 8.5.6-106 9.0.0-000 9.1.0-032 9.6.0-042 9.5.0-444 WSA10.0.0-000. Known Fixed Releases: 9.1.1-038 9.7.1-066.
A vulnerability in the configured security policies, including drop email filtering, in Cisco AsyncOS for Cisco Email Security Appliance (ESA) could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to bypass a configured drop filter by using an email with a corrupted attachment. More Information: CSCuz01651. Known Affected Releases: 10.0.9-015 9.7.1-066 9.9.6-026.
Session fixation vulnerability in Foreman before 1.4.2 allows remote attackers to hijack web sessions via the session id cookie.
Lack of appropriate exception handling in some receivers of the Telecom application on Samsung Note devices with L(5.0/5.1), M(6.0), and N(7.0) software allows attackers to crash the system easily resulting in a possible DoS attack, or possibly gain privileges. The Samsung ID is SVE-2016-7119.
