CVE-2025-38139 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix oops in write-retry from mis-resetting the subreq iterator Fix the resetting of the subrequest iterator in netfs_retry_write_stream() to use the iterator-reset function as the iterator may have been shortened by a previous retry. In such a case, the amount of data to be written by the subrequest is not "subreq->len" but "subreq->len - subreq->transferred". Without this, KASAN may see an error in iov_iter_revert(): BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in iov_iter_revert lib/iov_iter.c:633 [inline] BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in iov_iter_revert+0x443/0x5a0 lib/iov_iter.c:611 Read of size 4 at addr ffff88802912a0b8 by task kworker/u32:7/1147 CPU: 1 UID: 0 PID: 1147 Comm: kworker/u32:7 Not tainted 6.15.0-rc6-syzkaller-00052-g9f35e33144ae #0 PREEMPT(full) Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (Q35 + ICH9, 2009), BIOS 1.16.3-debian-1.16.3-2~bpo12+1 04/01/2014 Workqueue: events_unbound netfs_write_collection_worker Call Trace: <TASK> __dump_stack lib/dump_stack.c:94 [inline] dump_stack_lvl+0x116/0x1f0 lib/dump_stack.c:120 print_address_description mm/kasan/report.c:408 [inline] print_report+0xc3/0x670 mm/kasan/report.c:521 kasan_report+0xe0/0x110 mm/kasan/report.c:634 iov_iter_revert lib/iov_iter.c:633 [inline] iov_iter_revert+0x443/0x5a0 lib/iov_iter.c:611 netfs_retry_write_stream fs/netfs/write_retry.c:44 [inline] netfs_retry_writes+0x166d/0x1a50 fs/netfs/write_retry.c:231 netfs_collect_write_results fs/netfs/write_collect.c:352 [inline] netfs_write_collection_worker+0x23fd/0x3830 fs/netfs/write_collect.c:374 process_one_work+0x9cf/0x1b70 kernel/workqueue.c:3238 process_scheduled_works kernel/workqueue.c:3319 [inline] worker_thread+0x6c8/0xf10 kernel/workqueue.c:3400 kthread+0x3c2/0x780 kernel/kthread.c:464 ret_from_fork+0x45/0x80 arch/x86/kernel/process.c:153 ret_from_fork_asm+0x1a/0x30 arch/x86/entry/entry_64.S:245 </TASK>
CVE-2025-38111 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mdiobus: Fix potential out-of-bounds read/write access When using publicly available tools like 'mdio-tools' to read/write data from/to network interface and its PHY via mdiobus, there is no verification of parameters passed to the ioctl and it accepts any mdio address. Currently there is support for 32 addresses in kernel via PHY_MAX_ADDR define, but it is possible to pass higher value than that via ioctl. While read/write operation should generally fail in this case, mdiobus provides stats array, where wrong address may allow out-of-bounds read/write. Fix that by adding address verification before read/write operation. While this excludes this access from any statistics, it improves security of read/write operation.
CVE-2025-38110 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mdiobus: Fix potential out-of-bounds clause 45 read/write access When using publicly available tools like 'mdio-tools' to read/write data from/to network interface and its PHY via C45 (clause 45) mdiobus, there is no verification of parameters passed to the ioctl and it accepts any mdio address. Currently there is support for 32 addresses in kernel via PHY_MAX_ADDR define, but it is possible to pass higher value than that via ioctl. While read/write operation should generally fail in this case, mdiobus provides stats array, where wrong address may allow out-of-bounds read/write. Fix that by adding address verification before C45 read/write operation. While this excludes this access from any statistics, it improves security of read/write operation.
CVE-2025-38004 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.3 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: bcm: add locking for bcm_op runtime updates The CAN broadcast manager (CAN BCM) can send a sequence of CAN frames via hrtimer. The content and also the length of the sequence can be changed resp reduced at runtime where the 'currframe' counter is then set to zero. Although this appeared to be a safe operation the updates of 'currframe' can be triggered from user space and hrtimer context in bcm_can_tx(). Anderson Nascimento created a proof of concept that triggered a KASAN slab-out-of-bounds read access which can be prevented with a spin_lock_bh. At the rework of bcm_can_tx() the 'count' variable has been moved into the protected section as this variable can be modified from both contexts too.
CVE-2025-37984 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: ecdsa - Harden against integer overflows in DIV_ROUND_UP() Herbert notes that DIV_ROUND_UP() may overflow unnecessarily if an ecdsa implementation's ->key_size() callback returns an unusually large value. Herbert instead suggests (for a division by 8): X / 8 + !!(X & 7) Based on this formula, introduce a generic DIV_ROUND_UP_POW2() macro and use it in lieu of DIV_ROUND_UP() for ->key_size() return values. Additionally, use the macro in ecc_digits_from_bytes(), whose "nbytes" parameter is a ->key_size() return value in some instances, or a user-specified ASN.1 length in the case of ecdsa_get_signature_rs().
CVE-2025-37973 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 8.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: cfg80211: fix out-of-bounds access during multi-link element defragmentation Currently during the multi-link element defragmentation process, the multi-link element length added to the total IEs length when calculating the length of remaining IEs after the multi-link element in cfg80211_defrag_mle(). This could lead to out-of-bounds access if the multi-link element or its corresponding fragment elements are the last elements in the IEs buffer. To address this issue, correctly calculate the remaining IEs length by deducting the multi-link element end offset from total IEs end offset.
CVE-2025-37911 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bnxt_en: Fix out-of-bound memcpy() during ethtool -w When retrieving the FW coredump using ethtool, it can sometimes cause memory corruption: BUG: KFENCE: memory corruption in __bnxt_get_coredump+0x3ef/0x670 [bnxt_en] Corrupted memory at 0x000000008f0f30e8 [ ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ] (in kfence-#45): __bnxt_get_coredump+0x3ef/0x670 [bnxt_en] ethtool_get_dump_data+0xdc/0x1a0 __dev_ethtool+0xa1e/0x1af0 dev_ethtool+0xa8/0x170 dev_ioctl+0x1b5/0x580 sock_do_ioctl+0xab/0xf0 sock_ioctl+0x1ce/0x2e0 __x64_sys_ioctl+0x87/0xc0 do_syscall_64+0x5c/0xf0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x78/0x80 ... This happens when copying the coredump segment list in bnxt_hwrm_dbg_dma_data() with the HWRM_DBG_COREDUMP_LIST FW command. The info->dest_buf buffer is allocated based on the number of coredump segments returned by the FW. The segment list is then DMA'ed by the FW and the length of the DMA is returned by FW. The driver then copies this DMA'ed segment list to info->dest_buf. In some cases, this DMA length may exceed the info->dest_buf length and cause the above BUG condition. Fix it by capping the copy length to not exceed the length of info->dest_buf. The extra DMA data contains no useful information. This code path is shared for the HWRM_DBG_COREDUMP_LIST and the HWRM_DBG_COREDUMP_RETRIEVE FW commands. The buffering is different for these 2 FW commands. To simplify the logic, we need to move the line to adjust the buffer length for HWRM_DBG_COREDUMP_RETRIEVE up, so that the new check to cap the copy length will work for both commands.
CVE-2025-37893 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: LoongArch: BPF: Fix off-by-one error in build_prologue() Vincent reported that running BPF progs with tailcalls on LoongArch causes kernel hard lockup. Debugging the issues shows that the JITed image missing a jirl instruction at the end of the epilogue. There are two passes in JIT compiling, the first pass set the flags and the second pass generates JIT code based on those flags. With BPF progs mixing bpf2bpf and tailcalls, build_prologue() generates N insns in the first pass and then generates N+1 insns in the second pass. This makes epilogue_offset off by one and we will jump to some unexpected insn and cause lockup. Fix this by inserting a nop insn.
CVE-2025-37879 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: 9p/net: fix improper handling of bogus negative read/write replies In p9_client_write() and p9_client_read_once(), if the server incorrectly replies with success but a negative write/read count then we would consider written (negative) <= rsize (positive) because both variables were signed. Make variables unsigned to avoid this problem. The reproducer linked below now fails with the following error instead of a null pointer deref: 9pnet: bogus RWRITE count (4294967295 > 3)
CVE-2025-37749 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 4 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2026-07-30 8.2 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ppp: Add bound checking for skb data on ppp_sync_txmung Ensure we have enough data in linear buffer from skb before accessing initial bytes. This prevents potential out-of-bounds accesses when processing short packets. When ppp_sync_txmung receives an incoming package with an empty payload: (remote) gef➤ p *(struct pppoe_hdr *) (skb->head + skb->network_header) $18 = { type = 0x1, ver = 0x1, code = 0x0, sid = 0x2, length = 0x0, tag = 0xffff8880371cdb96 } from the skb struct (trimmed) tail = 0x16, end = 0x140, head = 0xffff88803346f400 "4", data = 0xffff88803346f416 ":\377", truesize = 0x380, len = 0x0, data_len = 0x0, mac_len = 0xe, hdr_len = 0x0, it is not safe to access data[2]. CVE-2025-23157 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: venus: hfi_parser: add check to avoid out of bound access There is a possibility that init_codecs is invoked multiple times during manipulated payload from video firmware. In such case, if codecs_count can get incremented to value more than MAX_CODEC_NUM, there can be OOB access. Reset the count so that it always starts from beginning.
CVE-2025-23156 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: venus: hfi_parser: refactor hfi packet parsing logic words_count denotes the number of words in total payload, while data points to payload of various property within it. When words_count reaches last word, data can access memory beyond the total payload. This can lead to OOB access. With this patch, the utility api for handling individual properties now returns the size of data consumed. Accordingly remaining bytes are calculated before parsing the payload, thereby eliminates the OOB access possibilities.
CVE-2025-23150 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 3 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: fix off-by-one error in do_split Syzkaller detected a use-after-free issue in ext4_insert_dentry that was caused by out-of-bounds access due to incorrect splitting in do_split. CVE-2025-23133 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath11k: update channel list in reg notifier instead reg worker Currently when ath11k gets a new channel list, it will be processed according to the following steps: 1. update new channel list to cfg80211 and queue reg_work. 2. cfg80211 handles new channel list during reg_work. 3. update cfg80211's handled channel list to firmware by ath11k_reg_update_chan_list(). But ath11k will immediately execute step 3 after reg_work is just queued. Since step 2 is asynchronous, cfg80211 may not have completed handling the new channel list, which may leading to an out-of-bounds write error: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in ath11k_reg_update_chan_list Call Trace: ath11k_reg_update_chan_list+0xbfe/0xfe0 [ath11k] kfree+0x109/0x3a0 ath11k_regd_update+0x1cf/0x350 [ath11k] ath11k_regd_update_work+0x14/0x20 [ath11k] process_one_work+0xe35/0x14c0 Should ensure step 2 is completely done before executing step 3. Thus Wen raised patch[1]. When flag NL80211_REGDOM_SET_BY_DRIVER is set, cfg80211 will notify ath11k after step 2 is done. So enable the flag NL80211_REGDOM_SET_BY_DRIVER then cfg80211 will notify ath11k after step 2 is done. At this time, there will be no KASAN bug during the execution of the step 3. CVE-2025-22124 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md/md-bitmap: fix wrong bitmap_limit for clustermd when write sb In clustermd, separate write-intent-bitmaps are used for each cluster node: 0 4k 8k 12k ------------------------------------------------------------------- | idle | md super | bm super [0] + bits | | bm bits[0, contd] | bm super[1] + bits | bm bits[1, contd] | | bm super[2] + bits | bm bits [2, contd] | bm super[3] + bits | | bm bits [3, contd] | | | So in node 1, pg_index in __write_sb_page() could equal to bitmap->storage.file_pages. Then bitmap_limit will be calculated to 0. md_super_write() will be called with 0 size. That means the first 4k sb area of node 1 will never be updated through filemap_write_page(). This bug causes hang of mdadm/clustermd_tests/01r1_Grow_resize. Here use (pg_index % bitmap->storage.file_pages) to make calculation of bitmap_limit correct.

CVE-2025-22087 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-07-30 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix array bounds error with may_goto may_goto uses an additional 8 bytes on the stack, which causes the interpreters[] array to go out of bounds when calculating index by stack_size. 1. If a BPF program is rewritten, re-evaluate the stack size. For non-JIT cases, reject loading directly. 2. For non-JIT cases, calculating interpreters[idx] may still cause out-of-bounds array access, and just warn about it. 3. For jit_requested cases, the execution of bpf_func also needs to be warned. So move the definition of function __bpf_prog_ret0_warn out of the macro definition CONFIG_BPF_JIT_ALWAYS_ON.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: Fix a couple integer overflows on 32bit systems On 32bit systems the "off + sizeof(struct NTFS_DE)" addition can have an integer wrapping issue. Fix it by using size_add().
CVE-2025-22080 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-30 8.4 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: Prevent integer overflow in hdr_first_de() The "de_off" and "used" variables come from the disk so they both need to check. The problem is that on 32bit systems if they're both greater than UINT_MAX - 16 then the check does work as intended because of an integer overflow.
