This happens because sata_pmp_init_links() initialize link->pmp up to
SATA_PMP_MAX_PORTS while em_priv is declared as 8 elements array.
I can't find the maximum Enclosure Management ports specified in AHCI
spec v1.3.1, but "12.2.1 LED message type" states that "Port Multiplier
Information" can utilize 4 bits, which implies it can support up to 16
ports. Hence, use SATA_PMP_MAX_PORTS as EM_MAX_SLOTS to resolve the
issue.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ALSA: emu10k1: Fix out of bounds access in snd_emu10k1_pcm_channel_alloc()
The voice allocator sometimes begins allocating from near the end of the
array and then wraps around, however snd_emu10k1_pcm_channel_alloc()
accesses the newly allocated voices as if it never wrapped around.
This results in out of bounds access if the first voice has a high enough
index so that first_voice + requested_voice_count > NUM_G (64).
The more voices are requested, the more likely it is for this to occur.
This was initially discovered using PipeWire, however it can be reproduced
by calling aplay multiple times with 16 channels:
aplay -r 48000 -D plughw:CARD=Live,DEV=3 -c 16 /dev/zero
UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in sound/pci/emu10k1/emupcm.c:127:40

| An attacker can use an undocumented UART port on the PCB as a side-channel to get root access e.g. with the credentials obtained from CVE-2025-41692. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ethernet: hisilicon: hns: hns_dsaf_misc: fix a possible array overflow in hns_dsaf_ge_srst_by_port()
The if statement:
if (port >= DSAF_GE_NUM)
return;
limits the value of port less than DSAF_GE_NUM (i.e., 8).
However, if the value of port is 6 or 7, an array overflow could occur:
port_rst_off = dsaf_dev->mac_cb[port]->port_rst_off;
because the length of dsaf_dev->mac_cb is DSAF_MAX_PORT_NUM (i.e., 6).
To fix this possible array overflow, we first check port and if it is
greater than or equal to DSAF_MAX_PORT_NUM, the function returns. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: tulip: de4x5: fix the problem that the array 'lp->phy[8]' may be out of bound
In line 5001, if all id in the array 'lp->phy[8]' is not 0, when the
'for' end, the 'k' is 8.
At this time, the array 'lp->phy[8]' may be out of bound. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
isdn: cpai: check ctr->cnr to avoid array index out of bound
The cmtp_add_connection() would add a cmtp session to a controller
and run a kernel thread to process cmtp.
__module_get(THIS_MODULE);
session->task = kthread_run(cmtp_session, session, "kcmtpd_ctr_%d",
session->num);
During this process, the kernel thread would call detach_capi_ctr()
to detach a register controller. if the controller
was not attached yet, detach_capi_ctr() would
trigger an array-index-out-bounds bug.

| vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models (LLMs). From version 0.5.5 to before 0.11.1, users can crash the vLLM engine serving multimodal models by passing multimodal embedding inputs with correct ndim but incorrect shape (e.g. hidden dimension is wrong), regardless of whether the model is intended to support such inputs (as defined in the Supported Models page). This issue has been patched in version 0.11.1. |
| OpenPrinting CUPS is an open source printing system for Linux and other Unix-like operating systems. Prior to version 2.4.15, a user in the lpadmin group can use the cups web ui to change the config and insert a malicious line. Then the cupsd process which runs as root will parse the new config and cause an out-of-bound write. This issue has been patched in version 2.4.15. |
| Array index error in tls_verify_call_back() in src/coap_openssl.c in OISM libcoap 4.3.5 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted DTLS handshake that triggers SSL_get_ex_data_X509_STORE_CTX_idx() to return -1. |
| A vulnerability while parsing "application/http-index-format" format content where uninitialized values are used to create an array. This could allow the reading of uninitialized memory into the arrays affected. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 52.1, Firefox ESR < 45.9, Firefox ESR < 52.1, and Firefox < 53. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amd/display: fix incorrect mpc_combine array size
[why]
MAX_SURFACES is per stream, while MAX_PLANES is per asic. The
mpc_combine is an array that records all the planes per asic. Therefore
MAX_PLANES should be used as the array size. Using MAX_SURFACES causes
array overflow when there are more than 3 planes.
[how]
Use the MAX_PLANES for the mpc_combine array size. |
| Inappropriate implementation in Passkeys in Google Chrome prior to 140.0.7339.80 allowed a local attacker to obtain potentially sensitive information via debug logs. (Chromium security severity: Low) |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: atlantic: fix aq_vec index out of range error
The final update statement of the for loop exceeds the array range, the
dereference of self->aq_vec[i] is not checked and then leads to the
index out of range error.
Also fixed this kind of coding style in other for loop.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: mac80211: Set n_channels after allocating struct cfg80211_scan_request
Make sure that n_channels is set after allocating the
struct cfg80211_registered_device::int_scan_req member. Seen with
syzkaller:
UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in net/mac80211/scan.c:1208:5
index 0 is out of range for type 'struct ieee80211_channel *[] __counted_by(n_channels)' (aka 'struct ieee80211_channel *[]')
This was missed in the initial conversions because I failed to locate
the allocation likely due to the "sizeof(void *)" not matching the
"channels" array type. |
| RARLAB WinRAR Recovery Volume Improper Validation of Array Index Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of RARLAB WinRAR. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the processing of recovery volumes. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a memory access past the end of an allocated buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-21233. |
