| The Windows installer deployed Npcap leaving its access restriction option at the insecure default value, so the driver was accessible to every local user of the host instead of being restricted to administrators only. A local user without administrative privileges could use the Npcap driver to capture the traffic reaching the host, which discloses information belonging both to the host and to other systems on the same network segment, and to send arbitrary raw packets on that segment. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/xe/rtp: Add RING_FORCE_TO_NONPRIV_DENY to OA whitelists
Unconditionally whitelisting OA registers is a security violation. Set
RING_FORCE_TO_NONPRIV_DENY bit in OA nonpriv slots, so that OA registers
don't get whitelisted by default after probe, gt reset, resume and engine
reset.

| A regression exists in the Linux Kernel within KVM: nVMX that allowed for speculative execution attacks. L2 can carry out Spectre v2 attacks on L1 due to L1 thinking it doesn't need retpolines or IBPB after running L2 due to KVM (L0) advertising eIBRS support to L1. An attacker at L2 with code execution can execute code on an indirect branch on the host machine. We recommend upgrading to Kernel 6.2 or applying the relevant stable backports (v5.4.233, v5.10.170, v5.15.96, v6.1.14). |

When used with the initial configuration, the address book editing and a range of features related to Document Filing can be accessed without user authentication.
Products intended for the Japanese market are not affected. |
| Network Scanner Tool and Network Scanner Tool Lite provided by Sharp Corporation, with the initial configuration, require no authentication and accept files unlimitedly. When the affected products are used with the initial configuration, anyone can connect to them without authentication and upload files unlimitedly. This may cause a denial-of-service (DoS) condition on the PC. Furthermore, if a malicious file is uploaded, a PC user may be tricked to execute the file to attack other entities from that PC. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb: client: fix double-free in SMB2_ioctl() replay
A response-bearing attempt can return a replayable error and free its
response buffer. If SMB2_ioctl_init() fails before the next send, cleanup
retains the previous buffer type and frees that response again.
Reset response bookkeeping before each attempt to prevent the stale free. |

| A flaw was found in SSSD's LDAP sudo provider. When the ldap_sudo_search_base option is not explicitly configured, SSSD searches the entire LDAP directory tree for sudoRole objects. An authenticated attacker with write access to any subtree can inject a sudoRole object granting root-level sudo privileges on all SSSD-enrolled hosts. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ext4: regenerate buddy after block freeing failed if under fc replay
This mostly reverts commit 6bd97bf273bd ("ext4: remove redundant
mb_regenerate_buddy()") and reintroduces mb_regenerate_buddy(). Based on
code in mb_free_blocks(), fast commit replay can end up marking as free
blocks that are already marked as such. This causes corruption of the
buddy bitmap so we need to regenerate it in that case. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
dm btree remove: assign new_root only when removal succeeds
remove_raw() in dm_btree_remove() may fail due to IO read error
(e.g. read the content of origin block fails during shadowing),
and the value of shadow_spine::root is uninitialized, but
the uninitialized value is still assign to new_root in the
end of dm_btree_remove().
For dm-thin, the value of pmd->details_root or pmd->root will become
an uninitialized value, so if trying to read details_info tree again
out-of-bound memory may occur as showed below:

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ARM: 9063/1: mm: reduce maximum number of CPUs if DEBUG_KMAP_LOCAL is enabled
The debugging code for kmap_local() doubles the number of per-CPU fixmap
slots allocated for kmap_local(), in order to use half of them as guard
regions. This causes the fixmap region to grow downwards beyond the start
of its reserved window if the supported number of CPUs is large, and collide
with the newly added virtual DT mapping right below it, which is obviously
not good.
One manifestation of this is EFI boot on a kernel built with NR_CPUS=32
and CONFIG_DEBUG_KMAP_LOCAL=y, which may pass the FDT in highmem, resulting
in block entries below the fixmap region that the fixmap code misidentifies
as fixmap table entries, and subsequently tries to dereference using a
phys-to-virt translation that is only valid for lowmem. This results in a
cryptic splat such as the one below.

| Action Pack is a framework for handling and responding to web requests. In versions prior to 7.2.3.2, 8.0.5.1 and 8.1.3.1, Active Storage does not disable libvips operations marked unsafe for untrusted content, allowing a crafted upload to invoke such an operation. Consuming applications are affected when configured to use libvips and accept image uploads from untrusted users. An unauthenticated attacker may exploit this behavior to read arbitrary files accessible to the Rails process, including environment variables and application secrets. Exposure of credentials such as secret_key_base or external-service tokens may enable remote code execution or lateral movement. This issue has been fixed in versions 7.2.3.2, 8.0.5.1 and 8.1.3.1. |

| Juggle through 1.6.0 contains a remote code execution vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary OS commands by connecting to the exposed H2 database web console using default shipped credentials. Attackers can access the unprotected /h2-console endpoint, authenticate with default credentials, and leverage the H2 CREATE ALIAS Runtime.exec() technique to execute arbitrary commands, resulting in root-level code execution when running the stock Docker image. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
cifs: Fix the smbd_response slab to allow usercopy
The handling of received data in the smbdirect client code involves using
copy_to_iter() to copy data from the smbd_reponse struct's packet trailer
to a folioq buffer provided by netfslib that encapsulates a chunk of
pagecache.
If, however, CONFIG_HARDENED_USERCOPY=y, this will result in the checks
then performed in copy_to_iter() oopsing with something like the following:

The problem is that the smbd_response slab's packet field isn't marked as
being permitted for usercopy.
Fix this by passing parameters to kmem_slab_create() to indicate that
copy_to_iter() is permitted from the packet region of the smbd_response
slab objects, less the header space. |
